Thank you for the great tips on planting and covering the brassicas! Looks great! On the sad note... hope you catch your thief with evidence and justice will be served. New subscriber here! A great video and you are so right that allotments are peoples safe places and it’s awful that someone can go onto a plot that’s not theirs and steal. I hope that you catch the cheeky blighters!

I love the banter, dry humour and hard work you put in your allotment and videos. It makes a change from what’s already out there. In all seriousness though I am deeply sorry there is a thief at your allotment. It cannot feel good to think your plot could be stolen from at any given time. Let’s hope you catch the git and send em packing.

Firstly I've now caught up having binged watched from the start and enjoying following your families adventures 😊... It's just soul destroying to know that some little A. H. Would rather steal from their Allotment neighbours than put the hard work in and grow there own.... Most allotment growers would happily give you some fruit and veg if asked, but stealing would make my blood boil too...
@AllotmentFamilyDiary4 ай бұрын
Yes, definitely agree. I’d happily donate produce if people really needed it. They just have to ask. Thank you following our journey ☺️
@silverbk114 ай бұрын
I had this happen to me a few years ago, so I made it very public I had put up a wildlife camera to catch the foxes etc. I even had a sign. But unfortunately I caught someone taking my products. What hurt me the most was the person had an amazing plot full of veg and the fact I always gave a lot away to people on site anyway. If they had asked for it I would have more then likely taken it and more to them. Like you said it just feels wrong and dirty someone walking all over your plot.

Yes, it’s very saddening and makes you like you’re constantly on guard. That’s awful to hear, and I can’t believe it was someone who had a good plot, that just makes it worse! Tysm for watching ☺️

Great job on the brassicas. The cage looks very nice. I feel your pain about the their. We had one at our plot years ago doing the same thing. You should expose them if caught. If willing to steal they have to accept the consequences. Stay strong 💪

😂 that makes you the perfect allotment couple one loves digging and one loves weeding 👍. So many pests but great netting. Great idea with the pine cones. 10:53 🤦♀️. Awful about the theft it is rampant at allotments and sad there is nothing really to do as even those with security doesn’t stop them. Hope things get better but your doing a fab job of keeping on top of things, Ali 🥵🌞🇨🇦

I went nodig but USA style with woodchip…handdug ..every weed out …then topped with 6” of woodchip…being doing it for 4-5 years…if I need to plant I just push woodchip to one side ..dig a hole ..keep soil to go on compost pile then fill hole so far with sieved chicken coop poop out my year old patch in coop ..then plant directly onto.. works great for me and means I don’t ever dig my plot as whole plot is covered in woodchip…then September put a fresh 6” on the plot…we were lucky as council would drop off free woodchip..now they donnt so may have to buy some…had the odd drop off from local tree surgeons..

Absolutely gutted and rather angry that someone thinks it’s alright, to come on to the land you rent, for your own produce and pleasure, and take what they please with out asking. Genuinely disgusting and disappointing that someone in the community is taking the absolute biscuit here, I really hope for yourselves and the rest of the community that the thief is caught, and if on the site, removed. This isn’t what allotment sites or communities are for and neither shall the stand for it
