BMW X3 PHEV vs Mazda CX60 PHEV - Is Mazda Finally Measuring with BMW ?!

I was really hyped for the CX60. Especially since there is an affordable Inline 6 diesel available. But I was a little disappointed. The overall build quality is good, but in detail there are a few things to mention. The sound of the doors (opening and closing) is far away from what you get when you buy a BMW. It feels a lot less premium than you would expect. Noisy interior. (windy noises and drive-train) There is also a slight light shakiness (I’m not native speaker so I don’t know how to describe) once you go over 40kph - when you go over 60 it blurs your vision in the outside mirrors. The infotainment is also not as good as the one in the BMW. It stops working from time to time (especially the HUD when your navigation system redirects you) Than there is the long list of problems with the CX60. - Total engine failures - emergency brake system failures - a lot of trouble in terms of electrical systems - suspension overall - AdBlue refilling issues - gasoline refilling issues The drivetrain isn’t as powerful as the data sheet suggests. Also it isn’t as quiet as the ones you get when you go for a German brand. The suspension (especially in high speed situations and windy conditions) feels almost life-threatening. I still think it’s a good looking car, but there is still something that divides the cars from one each other. And I still don’t believe, that an upgraded KONI Shock absorber would make the CX60 perform like a X3. I’m really sad about that, because I really wanted that CX60 so bad.

FIRST replace the regular CX-60 shocks with Koni Special Active and yes, THEN it's better than the BMW.

Don't you think this is getting a little ridiculous. every time a German car competes against a car from another country, the German car always wins. then you always have to say that you have not been paid by the brands in Germany, Everyone understands that you have. please make fairer tests. it will be so embarrassing. do it again and do it right

not necessarily. It wins because its well known for what it is. the Mazda wins in this because of the reliability and lush quality that it has. Mazda just doesn't have the same strong reputation

New skoda Superb Estate vs new 5 series estate both costing say 45000 euros or there abouts would be an interesting comparison ie top spec vs base spec

New 5 series is far more expensive car then Skoda. With HUD, heated steering wheel, 360 cameras, autonomous driving, led or laser headlights, comfort access, electric memory seats -> it comes well over 80.000 euros.
