What was the reason for FX4 package? I'm considering skipping it to increase and improve towing.
@NARoutdoorsКүн бұрын
I don’t think shipping it would increase towing. It was definitely not a priority when I ordered the truck tho. For me I knew I wanted the locking dif (a stand alone option) as well as some underbody protection (after market options exist). Bonus for my kids were the running boards which may come off as they get older. It also includes some software tech in the center display as well as trail control (surprisingly nice for low speed gravel roads. It’s like using cruise control but at 5-10mph).

A week ago I got a 2024 with the V6, XLT-High, FX4, and basic towing. I really didn't care about the advanced tech package since XLT-High gives us the power seats and dual-temperature controls. I am thrilled with my choice of the Ranger in general and specifically the V6. I wasn't planning to get the V6 but the salesman found one available for a dealer trade that was equipped like I wanted. The 2.3 four-cylinder is "fine" but the 2.7 V6 is awesome. I already upgraded the tires to BFGoodrich KO2's. Interesting detail if you are considering a Lariat: According to TireRack the Lariat tire size does not have any off-road all-terrain tires available. None.
