Thanks for posting video! We got around 22 mpg with truck bed loaded with camping gear 300 mile drive. Around town I and 15 mile commute I do a bit more freeway than you describe and have averaged about 19-20 over 1500 miles in our 2.7. We really like the truck

Hell.... That's what my 2017 Ridgeline is getting, which will be traded in soon. My XLT FX4 2.7 is in production right now! Can't wait!

My 21 Tacoma TRD OR had noticeable MPG increases at 10K, 20k miles. It's at 62k it seems like it is finally broke in. My new XLT 2.7l is in production.

That's great to hear - I'll be sure to keep an eye on the MPG! When do you think you'll have your truck?

@@NARoutdoors I'v had is for about a month. Just under 500miles of mostly around Boise driving. On a couple of cross town trips (30 miles each way) the trip computer said that I got 26+ mpg.

My old 2.3L engine indeed get better mpg's after approx. 3K miles. 17.4 mpg's for a 4WD 6cylinder twin turbo around town before break-in doesn't seem bad at all IMHO. I'm lucky if my Ram Hemi 2WD gets 15.😀

great to know; my 3rd tank got closer to 18.6; then i started to use the sport mode around town cause i hit 1k and i'm back to 17ish...check my latest video update and make sure to subscribe as i keep updating the fuel econ.

Man I love the 2.7 in my f150 4x4, but I love midsize trucks. Ive leveled mine and tires are about 34.5” tall. I’m averaging 21 mpg in mixed driving. I can do a lot better if I babied it. But I’m also not careless.

Hey when you fill your ranger all the way up how many miles do you have to E?
@NARoutdoors2 ай бұрын
323 but I believe it's going to need time to break in and further calibrate. I'll add that as a line to the spreadsheet.

It’s funny how the standard f150 engine is an upgrade for ranger.

It's not funny at all. It makes sense

@@Ichibuns it would make more sense to buy a f150 stx for a couple thousands more. With discounts probably close in price…

@@nordlandak6853sounds like an F-150 works/would work great for your situation. Our family of 3 is on a road trip with our 2.7 ranger FX4 XLT and it has been great. Right sized for us, easy to park, drive, navigate narrow campground roads, parking lots etc. We tested 4L on river rock and sand yesterday; very fun

Yeah I know. I am just gonna do 15 seconds tho. More referring to the fill wait fill idea.
