True.. true & true. On our first date , the MyDeaR XB50 gave me something easily described like two hours of nonstop almost physical lone-ranger head-spinning... 3rotic pleasure. And I'm not tryin'a sound"edgy".🤩💯❗

Thanks for putting rhis together. I started this journey 6 weeks ago right after my 52nd birthday. 6'3" , 230lbs, have been regularly going to the gym for years and Ive never felt like this much of a helpless bitch 😂😂😂. Humbled, inspired and absolutely love BJJ. Just need to play a smart enough gane to keep the middle aged joints together.

Wow, those costs really add up. You would think that when they do the culture they would test for more than one thing rather than have you come back over and over. I'd be looking for a new vet.

Some more advice: In your first few months, make friends. Making friends with everyone who has been at my gym longer than I have, has been a great help. So I can ask many different guys questions.

These are really effective for focus and non-jittery energy. I have anxiety and ADHD diagnoses. I love coffee, yet these are better for productivity. I discovered these when I was caring for my terminally ill dad. The days were long, and it was a very emotional time. These helped me tremendously.

I think some of these are tongue in cheek, like the "Oxy-Clean is good for getting bloodstains off your gi" but the "life gets in the way" is a big one for me since my work schedule is all over the place so once/week is my usual time. My issues at 52 are age (duh), excess weight (260#), limited flexibly and conditioning. First month/four classes so not enough time for a comparison but doing something while in a roll did something to my knee and didn't train for a week. Also doing no-gi if that makes any difference. Obviously being brand new, nothing makes sense and most of the time it's all I can do just to pull guard (because if I try an escape, I get my back taken and choked or arm bar) and hang on for time, but I'm not doing anything (remember the line in Karate Kid 2; "well just stand there and let him kick your ass").

My problem is I can only go on Saturdays, which is all belts. I need the fundamentals, but my schedule doesn't work to get to those. I feel the price is too much for 4 classes per month.

Thanks for the info, you seem highly motivated. You also seem like you can have a successful side hustle as a preacher preaching to the congregants somewhere.

Robin Salazar helps me a lot, recently, my ego have been getting hurt while training. I need to let It go, because I love more the sport than my pride. I just want to continiu training, the pride and ego are the enemies

Love it when people try to show they are smart by putting books in the background, and then they put Elon Musk and Tony Robbins.

I’m only 11-months into my journey, but my advice would be to not try and win every roll. Just have a concept you are working on, and focus on doing that. If you keep getting subbed or passed doing it, keep going until you slowly find success.

I am 35 with 3 kids and a full time job. I just got back into bjj. Tried 10 years ago and got injured only few months in. Been back at it for a month. I lost so much weight, look and feel awesome. I am able to defend so much better and easily beat newer guys with various submissions. That being said, anyone with experience destroys me but every day i am able to do more or last longer without being tapped. That is a win within itself. Bjj has made my life so much better and sometimes i dont feel like going but i do anyway and then i feel grewt that i did it

Advice to white belt BJJ......learn to be a good partner. Having people that enjoy rolling with you will make practice so much better for your soul.

Doing the same thing but at 191lbs at 5'8. Sounds hard to believe but my body has adapted to run around at 200lbs. I've been losing about 4 pounds a week but maintaining muscle with weight lifting. Wish me luck.
