It was about another 4 hours of additional work into each monster and room card. Plus a lot of new Tomb and hero art. The new art is making it's way to the digital version, but its taking some time.

I own the original but just got my 2nd edition today and im about to play it. Super excited. Love the new tombs and large dungeons. The new art is amazing!

Im just finding out about the RD2ed in this video, about how much is it and can i still order it? I like the look of the 2nd one over the first and it looks like its got different mechanics and the cards look better. Where is it available through, the makers website? Just purchased this last night along with ordering Dungeons of Doria, another cool dungeon crawler. Looks like 2nd printing has changed a bit in art and components. Great video.

Received mine too, everythings great, production quality in nice. My only complaint is id really like the sleeve all the cards but theres no room in the box to do that. Absolutely love the game and even been playing it on ipad and iphone. Love, love, love it. Kudos to all involved

Problem with all these simple games is that can be boring quite easily. E.g. enemies here are totally the same, no real distinction in gameplay other than art, something that is carefully addressed in 2d6 games and other games. It is definetely a pass for me and I am super worried why this game is rated so highly in Dungeon Dive's top ten Dungeon Crawlers. I bleieve it number 2 or 3 in his Top 10. Bruh!

I can definitely see what you're saying, I have my reservations as well. I worry the characters might feel too samey. At the end of the day, you need red/green/blue weapons. The random miscellaneous items are the same in every play. The X card always needs the Y card to solve, for example. The enemies are the same. The characters do have three unique abilities, and different starting stats. For some reason I've yet to win as the Sorceress but do well with the Crusader regularly. 2nd Edition lets you re-use skills by repurchasing them with XP, I love it, that's their special ability, USE IT! I ended up as a big fan of the 1/2/3d10 difficulty system, it's a good system and, fun (play on Expert, it's brutal!). There are so many cards that you're never guaranteed the items you want, let alone in the order you want (which I can absolutely say might feel like a very bad thing: you're relying on the randomness of the shuffles to provide what you need when you need it). Enemies are "roll high" no matter who you are, but their abilities are savage - you're playing AGAINST that, so save your Luck! You don't always overpower them, but some games you might waltz right through them. I wonder if there would be a way to adjust the enemies in a better way. Such as red/green/blue color code them against your stats for their triggering it might make combat more lively. In the end, this all sounds very good to me, as it's quite "roguelike". You're not guaranteed the Bread when you encounter the Maze. You might not have a way to heal the injured dwarf, etc. Knowledge of the cards goes a long way, like any roguelike video game you have some knowledge of the systems/interactions/static rooms. I haven't been able to put it through the grinder yet (many many plays), but I am certainly enjoying it so far. :)
