Y'know, it was insanely nice hearing more about this character! I like Reeve and Cait Sith ALOT but could never really connect very heavily with him, just bc of a lack of knowing who he is as a character. But with this and the remake series, I've grown quite a likeness for him ngl! He's pretty neat as :D

I have not played remake or rebirth, but I always really liked Reeve in the original FF7. He does not appear much in person, but he is so interesting. Wait. Cait Sith is Reeve's STAND.

honestly, i was humbled a lot from a different indie game that's been in development for a while. it's actually been fully finished for around 2 or 3 months now, but it still hasn't released because they're still dealing with the post development process. they've been very open with what's happening, and they ran into a problem with the playstation version which set back the release date by a lot on its own

one thing you didn't mention which i think could be a huge piece of evidence, is that sans' room feels like a huge reference to dark worlds. when you walk in there for the first time, the lights are all off, and when you try walking forwards it looks like the room is much bigger than it should be. then, when the lights turn on, you realise that it was just an ordinary room full of strange objects. to me, it's kind of crazy how similar this is to the way the dark worlds play out in deltarune, and i feel like it has to be intentional

Actually, we do know about the Angel's Heaven. It's in Undertale though, and you need to find the sound test room. There are two songs that stand out called happy town and meat factory. Happy Town is Angel's Heaven, and it's the fake paradise Ralsei mentioned. Meat Factory is Angel's Hell, and well, it would be related with what Gaster is doing with the goners.

I've never even played a Final Fantasy game before, but you're right, Reeve the Surprisingly Benevolent Business Guy and his probably sentient toy cat prince (cat princes? plural?) deserve more attention from both the story and the players. thanks for sharing this! Reeve and Cait are fun characters to know about, even if I've never played any of their games.

I’m pretty sure part 3 is gonna be called Reborn. The final boss theme in Remake was “One-Winged Angel: Rebirth”, and the final boss theme in Rebirth is “One-Winged Angel: Reborn”.

I'm not gonna knock on the "monsters in deltarune bleed" theory just because i feel like both options are equally plausible with what we currently have, but i will say that im leaning towards "they don't bleed" because of the "does it hurt to be made of blood?" comment. The other mentions of blood are common phrases- yeah, it is weird that they're beings that dont bleed but mention it pretty often anyway, but "does it hurt to be made of blood?" seems like its purposefully bringing attention to the fact that kris is the only one who has blood and alienating them from their peers again. It seems that outside of hometown, humans might be some kind of majority or something (like how America's pop culture is pretty well known around the world) based on what we saw on TV (i'm specifically thinking of the kaiju movie), so I wonder if it's "cool" to talk about blood despite not having any. That being said, the theory that Gaster himself is being inconsistent through DR because of his lack of knowledge is really really funny

As a 34 year old senior citizen it's nice to see a youngin cover FFVII (my first jrpg and beginning of the end for me) especially a character like Reeve. Great video
