Toller Kanal. Als Autodidakt und Hobbybastler habe ich bestimmt an die 30 Gitarren gebaut, wobei mir wichtig war, viel recyceltes Material zu verarbeiten. Sehr informativ, was du zeigst und ich lerne auch als Rentner immer noch dazu. Ich kannte einen Erwin Petrek aus beruflicher Zeit aber der Name ist wohl nicht selten.

I repaired a very old, very damaged Wandervogellaute (Lute) and had to use stitches to hold the worst split joint in position. I drilled small holes each side of the joint then used thin wire to pull the jount together. 👍

Very nice craftsmanship on the SG, it looks like a very solid instrument. I also know how it is to lose touch with former bandmates over the years. I watched this because when I was adjusting my old fernando stratocaster's truss rod, I always hear some cracking sound even in slight turns. I was giving it a relief because I am hearing fret buzz on the first fret. I am worried that I might have broken the truss rod

Easiest thing to find that works is a heavy pick. Some designs have sharp edges and are great for removing dirt. And it's plastic, so there is no way to damage the fretboard. It is not the best or fastest but it's something that works pretty well.

@@denyel_ Thanks a lot for your question. Yes you are absolutely correct steam can be very helpful to soften the glue but I decided not to use steam because it also can cause deformation in the wood so I just use heat to chip away the old board. Best Regards Nik

You need to put down some thing to protect the body. Even if you are gonna refinish it that messes up the binding and scar up the wood. You know what you are doing but I don’t understand why you are being so rough on the guitar
