Antique Bakery Has a live action movie that is much better than the anime. I've watched it many many times.

10 years ago, I dropped Higurashi after the first season. Now I rewatched all of it, mature enough to enjoy it. Shortly after that, I watched your videos and it blew my mind. The story as a whole is a masterpiece! Really appreciate your effort in creating these videos. Thanks! You've solved so many questions I forgot I had during the show.

I realize that I am a bit late to watching this video. Appreciate your time and care with each anime, and I plan to watch a couple of these myself now. One note is that if you thought Antique Bakery was weird as an anime you should totally watch the live action movie. I agree that the representation of a gay man definitely perpetuates some terrible stereoptypes, but it sounds like the anime and movie decided to adapt the characters differently both times. Some of the relationship things you mentioned were amplified and toned done in the movie, and it kind of has fever dream vibes due to the interesting editing and style of the movie. I don't think I can really describe it because it didn't change my life, but I definitely watched until the end. You can watch it for free with english subtitles on Viki. Another manga/show/movie I would love to see you cover is Cherry Magic! It is a Japanese bl series that I hold near and dear to my heart. The 2020 live adaptation is my favourite, but I am aware that it has recently gotten a new live action and anime adaptation. I have yet to read the manga, but I know it has a loyal following for a reason. Last but not least, My Love Mix-Up! Oh my goodness. I love it so much. The live adaptation for this Japanese bl is so sweet and has such a wholesome representation of sprouting queer love in a highschool setting. I also have an understanding that the manga is quite good as well. Highly recommend this one as I feel it handles queer themes and love with a lot of softness, realism, and grace. (You can also watch for free on Viki) ^Anyways I'm sorry that this comment is so long, but I hope that you are open to checking these out. I understand that live action things bring a whole other bag of cats to the already extensive amount of animes and manga available.

For some excellent gay representation, I do recommend Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. The story (and music) absolutely slap, and the character dynamics are given time to grow. Highly recommend.

The ones showing upskirts of grade schoolers aren't even worth mentioning. The fact that exploitation of children is only considered a "flaw", or "something to be aware of" before watching a show, rather than a dealbreaker, is everything that's wrong with the otaku community. No one should be watching an anime if there is fanservice surrounding any characters that aren't at least 18. If you would be bothered seeing those things happening with a real child, then you shouldn't be watching or supporting it. Whether they're real kids or not doesn't matter; It's the fact the writers created a child character, then put them in these highly inappropriate situations. You have to ask yourself why they would make that decision and think it's ok. It's acceptable in shows like Banana Fish, because those scenes were used to bring awareness to male victims of SA, and the internal battle to stay strong even when terrible things like that happen to them (and they didn't show anything more than their chests or thighs). But when scenes like this are made to be humorous, or worse, they try to make it look appealing... The normalization of pdf-ilia in anime is something I've always found unsettling. It's prevalent in both LGBT and non-LGBT anime. Of course, the fans don't think it's a big deal, because most of them are kids too! They don't understand how childish and immature they look from our perspective. I'm 27 and high school seniors look like toddlers to me, now. No grown adult would want any kind of "romantic" relationship with a teen, unless there's something wrong with their head.

Awesome picks! I was very hyped to see Utena and No.6 on here, and I'm glad you gave Yurikuma a chance beyond the first few episodes. If you ever do another video you should look into Sarazanmai, which is another very gay Kunihiko Ikuhara anime but with guys

I know right I thought it just me to touma feel so basic , generic basically his whole character everything you do is wrong and i am right. I literally most the time I do with touma if he do a lot speech or yapping I will skip it most it Specially, the fan Service the time only didn’t skip is Sister arc because Misaka sister scenes with last order and accelerator is best part show index.

Ubw all day imo. Simply on the fact that it has basically 29 episodes in run time and still does not try to be and do everything nor please everyone. I preferred the focus on well Emiya and Rin as opposed to trying to diverge as much screen time to any and all characters.

They never confess because that would be the end of the story. And that means end of the money flow for the Mangaka and series...! So they just keep writing lies and missed confessions for the $$... Can't sell manga if they end up together. (God forbid he learns to write a story where Cheeseyru and Cuckzuya end up a REAL couple instead of just prostituting Cheeseyru out 😂😂😂)

Wait how is this solvable in the original visual novel with this arc alone? I don't see any way for the viewer to realize the needle was Tabasco sauce. I mean sure, the needle isn't in the trash, but the trash could have been taken out by his mom. So yeah it seems like his friends are acting normal, up until they feed him a rice ball that could have killed him for no seeming reason. Is the fact that Rena is acting normally otherwise supposed to be the clue that it wasn't a needle? Another mystery is the removal of part of the note. How would anyone realize Ooishi likely removed the middle part? We're seeing it from Keichii's point of view, so as far as the viewer knows, maybe the whole village is out to get him. A third thing that doesn't seem solvable is the footsteps. It just doesn't make that much sense unless you think the narrator lost his marbles. OK, he in fact did but from the first arc alone, it's obvious he is paranoid but it doesn't seem obvious he'd have hallucinations.

WRONG. Read the novel or watch the deen adaptation. The UBW anime assumes you know the fate route, just like the novel route expects you to play them in order. Anyone advocating skipping the fate route doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

Cried and screamed when you mentioned No.6 I LOVE no.6 I read the manga religiously when I was a cringey teen still coming to terms with being gay. I loved the story and the representation felt so human in a world flooded by pedo bait.

The founding titan has the power to see the future so ymir being the original saw the future before anyone else, she made eren see and believe what was most convenient for her. She knew he was so obsessed with freedom that he would be the one to free her using her manipulation. I think eren wanted this to happen because ymir laid out the path for all the events for him to want it to happen. Notice eren at one point says he tried to change the future and he couldnt and he tried communicating with armin and mikasa and each time nothing changed so he kept wiping their memories of it and when armin asks him why he even questions himself and hes so broken that the only conclusion he can come up with is that he guesses he just wanted to see it so badly. I think it was ymir taking advantage of the attack titans thirst for freedom. Eren was never free

Sadly, old LGBTQ+ anime shows are "cringy" by today's standards. I guess, it is their way of "justifying" or "maneuvering" complicated restrictive environment back in the day? No matter how bad they are, we should consider the fact that they kinda helped pave the path for the others.
