Yeah, Denji is a simp. But he's not JUST a simp, he's got layers. He's willing take this dangerous job just for some good food for breakfast because he has been living on slices of bread and trash. He falls in love with the first girl he sees because he has craved any form of connection from his childhood. He doesn't want to save the world or be on top, he just wants to have a fulfilling life. He just doesn't understand what it is that makes a life fulfilling, just like we all don't. He's very relatable. Denji's really become one of my favourite protagonists.

Is an underrated gem manga/anime series that follows a young boy who always fails at studies activities etc. He has a crush on girl named Kyoko Also he was always called no good tsuna... But then a Baby (Namely Reborn!) claims to be his Home Tutor and he said about him as the next gen of the Vongola Familia but Tsuna doesn't want to be involved by it then he gets into many adventures and he develops himself as the same just being himself etc. Edit: I highly recommend this series it both started in the manga and anime as a gag series/season but that's just to the introduce the characters in the daily life arc but at the chapter 60-64 (manga) episode 20-21 (anime) it changes as an battle shounen series!

To be real, this video just feels like a summarization of Denji from Chainsaw Man. It's as if the "misunderstanding" of Denji is just something that was picked up off the people who have yet to read Chainsaw Man and made memes about his down bad behavior. If you read the manga it's not hard to see Denji for what he is because he's the character with the most focus given to their development as a person. It's almost spelled out to you with how detail is given to each dilemma he has to think through.

I myself didn’t really think much about Denji until I did a reread of the manga. Although I’m sorry the video comes off that way, I was hoping it would come off as more than that

So, when I finished Chainsaw Man, I was under the impression that the series was over. That made me not like Denji's character. That dog moment towards the end made me so angry, because rather than character development, Denji had regressed to something worse than a simp. If the series ended like that, I would have hated this manga....then, I heard the manga was coming back. If the author lets Denji progress, that could be a masterpiece. If he stays the same, then the series will just be a unique take on the monster of the week genre. If you are someone who likes those types of stories, then to whomever you are, more power to you. I stopped liking them in middle school, when I grew tired of Ash (Satoshi) never being allowed to grow...physically, mentally and with his career as a pokemon trainer. It took Ash until I was 31 years old before the writer allowed him to advance. It was at the very least, a good read. And I hated his "owner" from the beginning...all the way to the end. Why do people like her?
