This was 3 years ago but I figured I'd mention this. Jin's Ghost Armor actually has primarily navy and grey-ish blue fabric on it. If what I remember is correct, ninjas actually wore navy blue due to it's properties to both reflect the moonlight and hide in the shadow naturally, as pure black would make them stand out far more

Just like the three kingdoms games, people just think Cao Cao is a bad guy by default and Liu Bei is a good guy. The truth is Liu Bei was a hypocrite and Cao Cao actually defended the northern borders from barbarians.

Ah yes, judging historical figures by modern moral standards. What could possibly go wrong... Also Ieyasu wasn't the one who closed off the country, on the contrary he promoted foreign trade with his red seal ship system and Japanese merchants were very present at SEA and even India during his reign and until the the mid 30s. Even during the Sakoku period they still traded with their neighbors and with the Netherlands. But anyways Sakoku isn't a bad policy in itself, the tokugawa government just took too long to end the policy.

People have a serious issue with Separating Fiction from Reality, but thats not the fault of Fiction Writers. Blame falls on those who refuse to learn History. You cannot force Stupid People to BE Smart.

Interesting you theorized the perception of ninjas and their colors changed in the 1800's or 1700's. Your confusion over the lack of traceable history is *NOT* limited to just Japan around this time. The entire historical narrative world wide falls apart before sometime in the earlier 1700's. There's a mountain of evidence, much of it recently discovered, that points to a 'great reset' of sorts where the old world was destroyed a few hundred years ago around that time and the governments of the world are both hiding and inventing several centuries of history. I'm glad I you made this video showing that even a Japanese history buff is drawing a blank on what happened in between the so called "17th" and "18th" century when the truth is we may be literally living in the 10th or 12th century AD for all we know.

Hideyoshi do it to lower the chance of samurai uprising due to lack of war and other new policies he made. By sending them to their death on other country's land. He is very cunning and logical profits opportunist, a merchant to his bone marrow. In my opinion, nobunaga is the most honorable and fair between the 3.

The manga Sengoku Komachi actually did a pretty good job depicting Nobunaga imo. He's depicted as ambitious, but still care about his retainers.

There's a reason why "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" from China is called "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" it's the romanticized version of an actual historical war between 3 kingdoms starting from the Yellow Turban Revolution to the rise of the Jin faction unifying China (until it broke again.) There's a more accurate historic retelling version, but there's the romanticized version that pop culture likes to use. The same can apply for the Sengoku Period.. one is an actual historical account while the other is the ahistorical romanticized version.

KoIchi's story in itself is so powerful as well because he represents the despair and guilt the everyday person in Japan felt after WW2, but the fact that the whole point about his story is that although the war ended in 1945, for the majority of Japanese citizens, the effects of the war lasted far longer than 1945. It wasn't until Koichi healed himself, like the people of Japan did, that the war and devastation could finally be ended

Best life coach and a picture of an Ork was something I never expected to see. Props to the niche Ork game footage, sick metal soundtracks from those games, and starting off with the DoW3 Ork theme. Edit: if you haven’t played it, DoW3 is fantastic as the Ork’s, strongest faction in the game, to the point they’re nerfed in multiplayer. They’re so much fun though, charging a Waaaagh with metal and fireworks is peak.

One thing that people tend to forget about Nobunaga *and* his successors is the *massive amount of Christian blood on their hands.* One thing that people may not realize is that Japan's aversion to Christianity isn't the result of any attempts by the Catholic Church to dominate Japan-in fact, the Christian missionaries from Europe had no part in the ongoing conflicts and were only interested in bringing the Japanese to Christ-but a result of Nobunaga's own campaign to stamp out the religion, comprised of propaganda, repression, and of course *GENOCIDE.* Everything current day historians accuse participants of the Crusades and the Reconquista of, Nobunaga did that and *more.* Not only that, but his successors went even further, to the point of regarding any who would not actively spite Christianity as being Christian themselves, for which the punishment was a slow and agonizing *death.* These guys are the reason why Christians make up such a small percentage of Japan's total population, yet nobody seems to care.

My understanding is that the Skaven as a group... -- Have a whole secret society that they keep hidden from outsiders. -- Prefer stealth and secrecy when making initial moves on an enemy. -- Abhor a fair fight and have no problem either using dirty tricks during the fight or fleeing an unfavorable confrontation. -- Have their own complicated internal politics and a well-established social hierarchy where every rat knows its place... until it can scheme to achieve a higher one. And that's the Skaven in General. Clan Eshin in particular uses techniques to make them deadlier to other Skaven, like *bathing* so their scent cannot be detected. In Skavendom, being clean is a dirty trick.

I thought it was because Nobunaga was the earliest to use "fire"arms so they associate him with demons. I always found it strange Nobunaga lived so short yet he was the demon king that did so much evil. Tokugawa I find was the most scum of all is how he won and Hideyoshi is an idiot.

Basically, Legends is a blind guy's fanfiction of the events of the game proper. On a serious note, it wouldn't be too shocking if it turns out that Legends is a homage to Noh theatre with how outlandish some of their stories are. Also in a way its “immersive” given that the storyteller likely would hate the Mongols enough to make stories that portray them as bad as possible.
