Free Form Deformation is a very powerful tool. The secret is not to apply it too strong or your work ends up too stretchy. Best of luck!

@@GarryPye ive found that you can get away with exxagerating it alot more if you use the transition curve on all the keyframes, on the video i made that used it i used damping on each keyframe and it made it look bouncy but natural which was what i was going for

Motion Pilot allows me to puppet my character around on screen and record the motion in real time, essentially acting out the characters performance. This entire video took exactly 60 minutes to make. Im not sure how much more time you need saved. Its already super fast.

The XP-Pen drawing display is not a computer, so it does not have memory or a hard drive. It is a display only. So you connect it to your PC and whatever program youre running will display on the XP-Pen display. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with my XP-Pen 24Pro. I made this video 3 years ago and I use this display all day every day and I do not have a single bad thing to say about it. Amazing product.

If I drag a boned prop to the character in the composer mode, can I add it into the head group within CA5 to do the 360 head rotation too? or do i need to do it in Ai?

You have to manually set up your 360 Head rotation. There is software and tools that will help, but I prefer do it manually for best results.

this is great but i noticed that u are using linear transitions for every single keyframe which makes the movement look a bit robotic. you should ease every tween by going into the timeline, right clicking on the keyframe then changing the transition curve to whatever looks the best for that keyframe. it has made my cartoon animator videos alot smoother

@@quan6574 Yes. Thats correct. And thats the way I create my characters. Replacing each individual layer for new ones. However I do it in CorelDraw. Its certainly not too difficult. I can create a character from sketch to rigged puppet in 2 days. It just takes practice.

First of all, thank you for the compliments. But Im afraid I am the last person you want to speak to about computer specifications. Heres why. I know nothing about the technical side of the equipment I sue. Once a year I throw a bucket full of cash at my computer guy and say "Here. May my PC run faster." There would be two suggestions I have to help you - (1) On the Reallusion website are the specs for CTA. And (2) If you join the Cartoon Animator Users Facebook group and post your question there, we have over 5,500 CTA users who will gladly offer advice. Just be sure to answer all three of the entry questions. Good luck! And can I also say right now is the BEST time to buy CTA, because its currently on sale!

That is achieved using either the Z-axis value for the drone (a higher Z-axis value means it comes closer to the camera), or by simply scaling it up and down. I prefer the Z-axis method.

I have a character called Jack Danger who uses a slingshot. When say "that works", the prop included with Jack works by sprite swapping through a sequence of images.
