What is your problem, nudity is human nature and normal and free. It is so beautiful. Sauna means be naked, if you can not handle such a simple thing, do not go to a sauna. Simple.

I don't like the idea of co-ed nude saunas. 😧 I do love saunas, though! There's a large Korean population where I live, and in my neighborhood is a very nice Korean spa that I go to frequently. They don't allow any clothing at all, but they do provide robes and towels which can be used in the sauna., if you like. They keep the women's and men's areas completely separate, though. There's no way I would go if it was co-ed! The first time I went there, I was kind of shocked to see everyone walking around naked (most people don't bother with the towel or robe). But I got used to it, and now it's one of my favorite places to go to relax and unwind.

omg agreed. And Korean and Japanese spas are my fav. In an all female environment...no big deal... but for me co-ed....no towels allowed??? not for me.

It is simply not true, that wearing a towel in German saunas is not allowed. It‘s also not true, that it is normal that people touch themselves in German saunas. Never seen this ! And I go to Geman saunas on a regular basis for many, many years. You can of course wear a towel even in the sauna cabin. Nobody is required to be completely naked there. It is not allowed to wear normal clothes because of hygienic reasons. But you CAN wear a sauna kilt or a towel around your body, Absolutely no problem. Nevertheless most people are completely naked in the sauna cabin, because they are accustomed to it and it is no big deal and absolutely not sexual.
