Sounds like my experience living in Africa. You go there to volunteer and are treated really bad and many of the people have an innate hate for people with light skin. I remember the bugs in the bed trying to climb into my ears and nose and eating me alive while trying to sleep. I was a wreck. It gave me a bad experience to never want to go back especially when the people don’t want people that don’t look like them in their country

The biggest hurdle when kiwis, myself included move to Australia was the constant comparing everything to New Zealand. Pies No.1, then the list goes something like ice cream, twisties, burgerings, minties and lollies in general. I find the easiest way to explain the difference is to explain that where kiwis use cream Aussies use milk where kiwis use milk Aussie use skim milk or even water. The list extends to all sorts of things from sport to beaches to poisonous animals and a big one fuel prices which Nz loses hands down. I’ve on occasion brainwashed my Aussie children that kiwi food is better. One child believes she’s kiwi and my son flat out says he’s Aussie and doesn’t need to learn the haka, fair enough son there’s time to change your mind. I love my birth place and where I was raised but my home is Australia now, where my little whanau dig their feet in to this dry red soil.

I work at the farm, Cotton in NSW, Moreen or something. The weather is just too hot for me even I am from Asia. Wait until you work in a grapes Vineyard or sheep sheering. Your back will hurt like hell. Mate!!!!! But it is an experience. Farmers are all like that because of time, they need to get the fruits out. Now you know how tough Australian farmers are. Too much rain, they complain. Too little rain, they complain.

You are lucky, Mate!!! you get 1 year work VISA. We, Asian get 0 year work VISA. Hahahahahaha!!!!!! If there are, a whole bunch of Asian will go there to work.

I love to relocate my family there, is there any friends that can show us around and the system there?

Australian farmers are locally known as THE most penny pinching,whining, money hungry pack of terrible people. Do not play this down. Every Aussie knows how pathetic our farmers are, especially when it comes to the treatment of backpacker. They've constantly got their hands out for government handouts and tax breaks. The father's think they are gods because they're the ones who deeds us? But guess what? Most Aussie farmers grow cotton and canola oil! Guess which country imports 80 percent of these exact products?the only thing the farmers are feeding is their own bank accounts. So yeah farmers suck in Australia. Terrible terrible people. The ops opinion is extremely accurate and unfortunately it's not an uncommon story. DONT do ANYTHING which involves Aussie farmers and you'll have a great time

I lived in NZ for 3 years and did most of my masters degree in Palmerston North. I can say the biggest negative a Palmerston North is that there’s absolutely nothing happening in that town. I enjoyed my time there, but man is it a quiet place.

Me and my misses went to that place, at least three times a week when I stayed in roskill 😂 the palusami pies are addictive 🤦🏾‍♂️
