Some reflections, and it might have to do with the trim levels of the car, but… I have a 2023 XC. I can keep the auto headlights on when i start the car the next day, and you can adjust the temperature and seat heating using the buttons on the display-you don’t need to bring up the main view for temperature. I’m an Apple user and I’ve just installed the apps in the car, and they work really well. I think many of the issues you're having are due to a lack of familiarity. Have you gone through all the settings you can adjust in the car? If you set the light control to auto before starting the car, then activate the automatic high beams and switch back to auto, you won’t need to do this again. The high beam automation will be set as default.

So I purchased a 2015 volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI SEL Premium in May 2018 with 21,325 miles. It shows "your vehicle was modified on December 8, 2017 // 21,303 Miles". The car just hit 60K miles and it started having intermittent starting issues. It cranks, won't start. The in tank fuel pump is not turning on. I suspect it's the pump or fuel module. The module is around 300.00 and the fuel pump shows one for 130.00 and another for around 600.00. I suspect it's the 600.00 pump. I don't want to spend money if this would be covered under warranty. Any idea (today is September 28, 2024) ??? Thank you!!!!

You are still under the, "11 years or 162,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s original in-service date." You might have to fight with your local dealer a bit, and they might try to charge you a diagnostic charge incase it isn't covered under the warranty. Try to find out your in-service date. the dealer should be able to find that out for you.

I purchased and install the yellow version (cost twice as much as white!) from Amazon, initially in the horizontal orientation which I thought logically should work as it is the same orientation as the factory halogen bulb orientation on my 2004 Toyota Sienna. After turning them on, I was not able to see any yellow light beam coming from the normal driving position unless I lean forward all the way toward the windshield or look at the fog lights from outside of the vehicle. Since there were a few reviews mention on the Amazon that these light bulbs was dim for LED bulbs so I thought that was normal since these are only ~9W/bulb after all. After watching other demonstration videos and reading the AUXITO manual instruction carefully again, next day I reinstalled them in the vertical orientation as per manual instruction and was able to see the yellow beams covering the entire front as well as the extra wide corner arears on both far side of the bumper where the current high power 65W/30,000LM/bulb HIKARI 2023 Futurer with the Titanova LED light chips headlight bulbs does not cover. Vertical orientation is definitely the only way to install these LED bulbs for optimal light output on these fog light housing and AUXITO seems to be the only H3 bulb manufacture I am able to find on Amazon to have the extra cut outs on the metal disk bracket to accommodate both orientations. This actually explains why a few reviewers on Amazon mentioned about the output was dimmer than they expected as they might had installed these bulbs in the horizontal position. After the installation I did re-aim the fog light alignment with the industry alignment standard procedure to get the optimal coverage while avoiding hyper flashing the in coming traffic: - Inflate all tires at Cold Tire Temperature Standard of 68F/20C with regular daily load throughout the vehicle after parking for over 3 hours or overnight at recommended or desired tire pressure level - Park the vehicle on a leveled flat surface with a flat wall and measure 25 feet between the flat wall to the middle of the fog light lenses (not the bumper or the license plate) - Measure the height distance from the ground up to the middle of the fog light lens (14" for me) - Adjust both fog light top cut off beams 4" lower than the previous measured distance from the ground up on the flat wall (10" for me) Thanks for making this video.

1) after about 5 years the EV will need to be replaced (sooner if in minor accident) 2) The grid will not support EVs 3) the cost of depreciation and batteries makes you a fool compared to fuel cost. 4) Insurance cost is very high, some will not even cover you. I object to taxpayers helping pay for your EV myth NOT busted 5) The battery technology can not reinvent science 6) The EV has a 1000 lb battery very similar to cell phones do not work in cold or hot weather. temperatures make the range go way down 7) Just fine if you only need to go 50 miles If your ICE runs out of fuel you can put gas out of a can in 2 minutes 8) Entire ships and parking lots of cars have been lost. 9) Just give the government more time. Used ICE cars will be more expensive. See California 10) Road trip limited and stressful.

My man. Are Electric Vehicles really your concern or is it that EVs go against your political views? I used to be very strongly anti-EV, and anti-climate change policy less than 2 years ago. I listened to the likes of Steven Crowder and a whole host of conservative commentators on the issue. I am still conservative, but I realized that EVs and climate related issues are a major blind spot for the Republican party. There's a lot of people who strongly dislike organizations such as the IPCC and Democrats so much that they lose their objectivity on the science behind these matters. What changed my mind was focusing on my career in STEM, and staying informed on the topics that I was told I was being lied to about. I'm not gonna go point-by-point; you can do your own research. But I would encourage you to step back from this issue for a second and see why you disagree so strongly when it comes to this piece of technology. Are you sure that this video creator was wrong about every single point? Even the claim that EVs pollute more than ICEs? 🤨 Even the fact that Electric grids are successfully charging EVs? I'm a mechanic by trade and have owned and worked on significant portion of everything that ever come to Australia... I broke down the entire life cycle carbon equivalent of a Tesla model 3 vs most of the cars I ever owned for doing an engine rebuild and general freshen up and driving it for 500,000km or making the Tesla from scratch and driving it the same distance including all the servicing, tyres, fuel/electricity, the lot. Only vehicle that punched on with the Model 3 was my old Suzuki Might Boy 553cc little 2 seater ute that is built like a can of coke and if you crash doing more than 40kmh you will die..... So what do I drive??? A Subaru Forester 👍 I drive about 1000km a year and will never touch the emissions of any new EV with the used gas guzzler and would be a waste me using up good new batteries anyway. @@doublejslist yep, 04 Forester at the moment. Had an EJ swapped and lifted L Series many moons ago that a fell in love with and after a spine injury and not being able to off road I built a VT Super 6 with the L67 for burnouts, set of high ratio rockers, custom 3" A2A manifold and high rise fuel rails etc to accommodate, dekka 65lb injectors, shaved snout blower with a ""20psi"" pulley that made about 17-18lb with the big intercooler and stuff, 4.11 swapped diff, nvram swapped ecu etc etc etc.... Was fun but with roasted spine it hurt like hell to really give it to her so put her up for sale for a bit but got little interest as was too custom for most and really wanted an e80 tune, more efficent blower or some water meth cos she was hot AF even with intercooler and could make a lot more power with more timing if that was proper controlled. Got lots of interest in the blower and A2A as I'd hand polished it all so took her out and skidded a few sets off while dialing in more and more timing expecting to melt a hole in a piston but she took well more degrees than I expected and I ended up doing a wristy instead. Was a bonus cos I sold heads with the blower and I expected to kill them...... Foresters SUV high seat/position is great with a bad back but I honestly F'n dread doing anything to it or driving it much. Its had most the stuff done that is a typical issue but she has not had some MLS gaskets and studs yet and I'm questionable on the clutch kit they said was done... She should do for what I need in an intrem vehicle waiting on EV market. I drive so little now the unsealed combustion environment my oil is exposed to and short drives it's just not conducive to a happy ice engine.... Batteries that prefer shallow cycles and sealed electric motors though 👌 perfect for my now days use, would of been useless in past as I lived rural and needed tow range. One point people forget about EV is EV is not just for the environment, it’s also very important in geopolitics, no matter how efficient and clean a gas/non- plug in hybrid is, it still uses OIL and most of the countries in the world can’t produce enough oil for itself (including all superpower except Russia) with adoption of EV a country can greatly reduce it’s oil dependency on foreign nations, because EVs are the most “multi fuel” vehicles out there, it can runs whatever produces electricity

Gasoline consumption increases at a faster pace than so-called EV adoption. If you attended a bar-b-que and only ate a salad, someone else would eat the briskette! The dog isn't going to eat it. The same thing happens with petroleum. Petroleum has a multiplicatude of uses - every drop will find a buyer. EVs can never shrink petroleum consumption - unless there are political bans. Even the roads are paved with asphalt made from the residual tar from refining.

I think most grids in the US that have problems, they stem from weather related events rather than people running aircons. Ok - I'm not that familiar with all of the US but if it is a problem, it's a power company problem not an EV problem. To put it simply - do better. Put in the capital works to make it better. You're one of the richest countries in the world and there is zero excuse for a poor quality grid. EVs can actually help the grid by charging up when demand is low and when V2G becomes commonplace selling power back to the grid at peak. Or powering your whole house if a storm takes out the grid.

A Totota Yaris with its easy maintenance will go 500,000 miles and then it's repairable for more - a used motor from a wrecked Yaris is cheap. Yaris are the atomic cockroach of cars. @@timothykeith1367 BULLSHIT! I haven't seen or heard of a single ICE car who ever did 500k miles on the original engine, without a complete top- or even compete overhaul. The only part left of the original engine is often the crankcase with the serial number plaque! The masses, at least here in Europe, scrap their ICE car after 100k miles on average for petrol models, and 150k miles for diesel ones. The number of cars getting to 500k miles is around 0.00167%! No; he's advocating that some people online cut the BS. Internal Combustion Vehicles pollute more than EVs. You don't even have to like EVs to acknowledge that basic fact. The production process for both Electric and Combustion engine vehicles is similar; the argument the other comments are making is that the studies that claim EVs pollute more as part of their production process or as part of operating them have poor methodology that is lenient in ICEs and strict towards EVs. Just look at the reduction in Smog in major cities that widely adopted EVs. With EVs the Cobalt, and Lithium mining is very dirty, but with ICEs the Petroleum mining is dirty too. And don't forget, once that Crude oil gets refined, it can only get used once before you have to mine for more.

Not to mention, hoping for the failure of Tesla is hoping for the failure of a massive American based company. My model 3 is more American made than your Ranger. By a large margin lol.

ICE cars are 60 times more likely to catch fire when sitting parked. Hybrids are something like 80 times more likely. also CATL and BYD have self suppressing batteries that put themselves out in the very unlikely event of a fire. some new chemistries cannot catch fire to begin with. so in a few years people will go "WTF are you talking about whats an EV fire?"

There is no doubt EVs are more difficult to extinguish in the rare event they do catch fire. But firefighting depts are catching up with the use of special blankets, water devices designed to penetrate the battery and cool it down and short it out. Also, apart from catastrophic accidents, EV fires generally start much more slowly than gas fires, giving occupants more time to evacuate the vehicle. We've heard a lot about EV fires but not many fatalities resulting directly from the fire. They just tend to make the news because negative EV stories get clicks and clicks make money.

The mining of lithium for batteries rapes the land in many countries and often employs child or slave labor. Replacement batteries for EV's are astronomically priced. Recycling the old batteries is challenging at best. EV chargers across the country are being pillaged for the copper, making charging challenging. Good luck going on a road trip with your family. Hybrids make SOME sense. EV's do not to most people. Yet the government is FORCING them on us. Used EV values are close to nothing. Try trading in an EV and getting a decent buck for it. Know you and love you like a brother, JJ, but I think EV's are NOT the answer. At least not in their current form. By the way, I gave you a "like" just for the effort. And don't talk about "conservative uncles" and "certain news agencies". You're better than that.

@pinkysgarage4517 Thieves siphon gas which leaves the victim stranded all the time in ICE vehicles. Gas pumps have skimmers to steal credit card info when you travel. Ice vehicles are astronomically over priced purely for profit for the elites. Good luck going on a road trip with your family when the transmission fails every time. Hybrids make no sense when an engine is used. Try trading in an ICE vehicle and getting a decent buck for it when every one knows you are selling unfix-able problems with the engine and transmission. And always stay away from "certain news agencies" because they are force feeding the oil industry lies on us. And drilling for oil used to produce gasoline rapes the land and oceans in all countries and always employs child and slave labor. JJ hit the spot with this post. An EV may not be for you but the rest of us it is beginning to make sense.

Hoping you posted this from your coal fired computer! Cobalt is found in any lithium battery, along with catalytic converters for gas cars, computer hard drives, it’s used in the process of refining crude oil into gasoline, airbags for all vehicles, drill bits, superalloys which are used in making jet engines for planes (hopefully you never took a plane ride) magnets, tires, enamels, paints…. I could go on. But, you live a cobalt free life with that comment, correct?

As far as the road trip comment, the 1.5% of the year I go on a roadtrip and don’t charge off of a dryer outlet in my basement, I have had zero issues. The Tesla infrastructure is the best in the business and growing every day. The 3rd party ones (electrify America EVgo etc) are hot garbage and I will not defend that at all.

Just did a flawless 3600 mile roadtrip from upstate NY to Black Hills, SD. We even used a couple chargers in Canada. No problems, no waits, no sweat in a Tesla. But I agree that JJ should not talk about conservatives and political sides. I am a conservative...a fiscal conservative. Hence the EVs, battery powered lawn equipment, solar panels and VTOU electricity rates, which all make my wallet much 'greener'. EVs, solar and wind power, are all economic certainties from which no county or household will be able to escape. They are cheaper for me NOW. They will be cheaper for everyone EVENTUALLY (within 5 years).

@@doublejslistI'm faced with a very tough choice soon, to keep my newer 2015 4Runner with 114k miles or to embrace this 2006 100 series LC with 159k miles, T heater hose needs replacing, read horror stories on the Master break when it fails losing total breaking power... I timed mine at 38 seconds to pressurize which I think is still good? and well, I need something ultra reliable for DAILY driving. I don't mind the MPG.. I just mind the probable Gremlins that may appear randomly lol! So.
