@@heavydelta7615 actually, I don’t recording VR is difficult, what I see i: smooth. The motion smoothing features don’t translate to OBS when recorded. VR performance is way up and overall much better experience.

What’s great is that I agree that we ere shown one thing and got something else, something unfashioned. there are many bugs! And I love MSFS as it’s pretty much one of 3 games I play. Also, there are no excuses to be made Microsoft dropped the ball on this launch and the bugs are horrendous. You do realize I chose to upload this whole video raw and not re-record it? I don’t care! Let everyone see what it is today, and then see how it improves. Regardless I’ll keep flying and enjoying it for what it is, and well yes I’m disappointed with this subpar launch and I’ve already spoken about that in my other video.

@@theVRpilot passthrough in the Quest Pro is very bad so I do not do it, but the headset is has a open face mask so you can see through the borders easily your set up without losing inmersion.Quality lenses are great, it has local dimming so blacks and contrast is great plus it has eye tracking, so it does Foveated Rendering.

@@theVRpilot I use DX12 for F2020. Could be interesting to ask users what setup (cpu/gpu/headest) and software (settiings, resolution ...) they have, may be we are missing something.

@@theVRpilot I picked up the 4070 ti super at microcenter today haven’t tested it yet in VR . I am able to max everything out at 4K at night with 59fps lol couldn’t break 60 . Didn’t have time for VR but if it doesn’t work well I’m just gonna go 4080 super 😂

I think you summarized it really good! And this is why I’m sharing it off. I think it helps show what is good and What is bad. The apocalyptic melting assets will likely not go away, but will improve with time as this is AI made. Now there are so many other areas that the sim has improved but I might not be showing here but I’ll keep doing videos. Unfortunately it feels like the sim launched and it wasn’t fully ready. My biggest issue was VR performance and load times. Yes those things are improved for me so happy. 2024 isn’t really in a great state, but as you see people use it, if it had something that you really want then consider it, otherwise wait. I know many people on both sides of the fence, and neither is wrong. I trust they will work and fix things soon. Hopefully this will be another no man’s sky lol

@@strikkflypilot927 Fair comment! Also I don’t know that we’re going to hit 90 fps in flight sims vr just yet. Also this is where pimax smart smoothing feature and lock to half frame rate come in play and together with 90hz upscaled is literally created a butter smooth experience for me! Not sure of Varjo has something similar

@@theVRpilotNo. At least the way it is rendering it would be delusional to think it possible to reach 90 fps. If the Pimax can render by motion smoothing to 90fps smoothly, that is truly remarkable👍. I will still stay with the Aero until something with a broad fov and ppd similar to or beyond 35 is available😊

Bro I already started downloading MSFS 2028! Haha. Jk. The melted buildings are a blessing and a curse. They are the limit of AI images and LiDAR data. It’s pretty cool and great in most places but others it’s meh. Because this is primarily a flight simulator lol, it’s ok and does a great job overall. But in certain areas it makes it feel like a N64 title lol. Custom scenery can improve that but will cost fps. While I do wish it was better, I sort of get at why it’s the way it is.

@@theVRpilot 7950x3d + RTX4090 (soon 5090!). The 4090 is fine above 1,000', but chugs at ground level. I'm running every VR setting at Ultra. I could dial it back, but I want the 5090 to compare against.

Does it match the winds? Fly to an area with strong winds.

@@Schwing27 Yeah so on launch day, I was getting 42-45 fps in VR with DLSS, 90hz upscaled mode on “high” VR settings, and then 32-35 fps and a bit higher occasionally. Now, frame timing is important and other metrics. A few things are gone - the extreme stutters all the time, it’s overall so much smoother. I’ve seen that some folks are still suffering from worst issues and others are having similar experiences with even less hardware. This is 12900k 4090 32gb ram and pimax crystal light. Also Quest 3 with virtual desktop was excellent too! Both so much better than MSFS 2020.

@ Does it visually look smooth at 45fps? I wonder if the Pimax Crystal Light does some magic under the hood. I use a reverb G2 and if I’m getting anything under 90fps it feels choppy. I wonder if it’s just the headset. Since I know the G2 doesn’t handle reprojection very well. Maybe the PCL does this much better.

Dont drive yourself crazy over people saying the sim is running great. I've learned that most peeps have a super low low bar when it comes to acceptance performance. Find a reputable KZbinr that posts performance stats for a game you own with similar hardware...if its within 5 to 10 fps, your golden and either people are delusional or straight lying.

Also...its important to note your network latency. Use cloudfare or Google for your DNS and see if it helps. Where your server is can make all the difference. I'm on the main vein of the united states server infrastructure and I'm still not touching msfs2024 aids edition 😜

Btw...you got 64 gigs of ram right? You didn't post that part....also the game likes more cores...so....something with 12 or 16 cores will steal your Intels lunch money and make it do its homework for all 4 years of high school

I’ve heard some having a few reports like this. My experience is the opposite better fps and clear visuals.

How are you controlling the plane with equipment or the quest 3 sticks? I have the same pc but dont wanna invest in extra controllers

@@scrup13s Yeah in VR I think it's worth investing in controllers. I have the Logitech X-56 which is fine for me. Had to remap some settings but that's ok. Has lots of buttons you can use for mappings, then it's a case of remembering what you mapped. All primary and secondary controls, basic camera controls mapped on the joystick, the rest I use with a mouse.

i have both q3 and crystal light i choose the q3 everytime in 20 and 24 so much better perf.clarity maybe 10 percent less then crystal light but the quest 3 lenses are so much better than the crystal light it makes up for it.also a 4090 with a 13700k.
