Yes, the battery is exactly the same, I used the battery from my mini 2 se.

That's great news 😀 I think that if I could only have one drone and I didn't need tracking or waypoints, I'd get the Dji mini 4k and add dji care refresh (just in case) . It's the small sensor on the Atom that's the deal breaker 😌 But I'm sure you'll be happy with either. I bought the dji neo. I actually really like it in 2 ways the Tracking and controlling it with your phone, oh and the price, the good. The Downside is the image quality, though 😌 I will make a video soon. I've been busy researching about 🏡 solar panels, watching loads of youtube videos, haha. Getting them fitted on Wednesday 😀

@@RobinDrones Giving back to the grid then, are you? I’m not too impressed with the Neo personally. I get the draw and the target market though and expect it will do well for DJI. The Mini 4k is a little more compelling for a few reasons - including their “insurance”. I am not terribly interested in tracking and the remote is a bit less functional than DJI.

Yes, in my opinion, the Fimi is better than the Potensic Atom. But the Potensic is still a very good drone. But the Fimi, Has a larger sensor. More features. Better image.

@@RobinDrones Thanks for your thoughts. I ended returning my Fimi Mini 3 as it had a dead pixel and Fimi support, well, nothing good can be said about them. They refused to honour the warranty. I still liked the drone but I was planning on using it commercially. I am hoping that the Atom 2 comes out soon. I checked the IFA in Berlin as per your other vid but there were no announcements regarding Atom 2. I may still get another FM3 as I now have an extra 3100mAH battery as a paper weight but will understand that there's zero warranty or support.

Fimi mini 3 as it has a bigger cmos sensor. Potensic Atom is still a great drone, but it's a year old now. Potensic needs to pull their finger out and release the Atom 2!

Really! 🤔😔 I thought any phone should work as long as it's 64bit. I was using an older phone than yours-a samsung s10 lite, and it worked fine. That's one thing I don't like about dji is the app isn't available on the app store as it can't be trusted by Google!

Yep, that's exactly what I did, I got the mini 2 se but wanted tracking so got the Atom. Both are great value drones!

No, there isn't any hand gesture modes on this drone.

You can set the height on the waypoints settings screen. But you can also increase and decrease altitude as it's flying the waypoint 👍

It's a special lens, apparently, and it's been patented. 👍

True, but the Potensic is pretty close to the flying performance the dji. At least it is for me, but I have seen other people's videos with connection issues making this hard to fly. I've not experienced any of those issues even when flying with my 2.4ghz mic!

I fly with 1 up and 1 down. So, 1 pointing to the drone and the other 1 with the flat part pointing to the drone. That seems to work for me.
