Chennai Metro is being constructed Sholiganallur to Poonamalle, crossing at Medavakkamkoot road, from there Tambaram is only 6 kms, why Govt has ignored this route, this would benefit lakhs of population living in this area.

When is the Completion & Inaguration date, its been undergoing for more than many months in a slow manner. Whether it has Escalator service at end points as it will enable easy climbing for old aged people.

Extending the metro from airport till here is also important. Kilambakkam will be Koyambedu 2.0 if this happens. I don't know why CMRL is still not expediting things for this stretch. The blue line will be the longest and most important for the metro if this happens. Don't know if the extension needs to be constructed with box girders by extending the existing line or U girders like the Phase 1 extension/Phase 2. Airport express line from Poonamalle to Parandur is a good idea

CMRL submitted a DPR for this stretch way back. But it was returned by the state government suggesting a possible double decker since NHAI also seems to be planning a flyover in the GST

@@gowtham0706 we should realise the importance of rail transit systems for a sprawling city like Chennai. Chennai is growing horizontally. So, the distance between source and destination is more every time we travel. Only a rail transit like metro/high speed rail can address this issue. NHAI should give up and make way for a rail transit. Despite an extensive metro system, Delhi suffers from pollution. Yesterday 78 lakhs used the metro on a single day. Pollution free, economical, comfortable, reliable.

These are all called main roads but have only 2 lanes. In those 2 lanes car, bike, school bus, college bus, public bus, outstation bus, auto, lorry, tempo all will run. Super management by our heroic politicians 🤦♂

T Nagar was better till early 2000s. I lived there for 25 years from 1980s in Rameshwaram road (parallel to railway track and South Usman road). It became difficult after the work started for first bridge with diversions, blocks, bike parkings and small roadside shops under the bridge. Whole purpose of bridge is to enable traffic on the bridge and under the bridge as well. Under the bridge is chaos from Ranganathan Street to pothys atleast. Now, with this demolition and reconstruction, i wish it gets better and doesn't get worse. I have high regards for these planners who have to take many things into consideration before making such development projects. But..

Realiable and safe. Like even if a part breaks in this flyover the flyover won't crash,due to layers of steel and cement in between. If it cracks or breaks it will take two weeks to add a new pillars and remove old ones, it is that easy work installation. So it is perfect for a crowded area like tnagar where ,if a problem happens in a normal flyover it will take atleast a year to solve the problem.

It is for LMV , Because buses will go to the terminus down. And lorry and other vehicles was never allowed into north Usman flyover. So perfect decision. Because if we cross this signal saidpet faster which directly links to OMR

At Kilambakkam KCBT and city MTC busstand is very far it's very difficult for senior citizens to walk such long with children and family Government should shift City MTC busstand to opposite to KCBT busstand where park is located
