Cheers again for the wash Craig. Think it was the cleanest it’s ever been after you done it. Safe to say it didn’t stay like that for long after a good drive haha.

Great video mate. I've been using the Mile Deep products for a while now and I love them! They are a great company who have great ethics and provide the consumer with lovely bottles, triggers and branding. The transformation in the car is fantastic. Looks great. It seems as thought from the state of the rear wheels and rear end it's had a sticking brake or two which has eaten the discs and pads and they have ended up stuck to the paint. Nothing beats a second and clay in that situation. Great results!

When i’m doing the wash stage I start on the roof, and glass, rinse that off. Then one full side glass again rinse, and the same with the front, back, and other side. Helps on warm days when you don’t want the soap to dry in and you have a bigger car.

Handy they sent the fallout remover as you ended up using the whole bottle, looked a good one too, Came up well but hopefully you get it back again for a full decon and some form of polish in future looks like it’s been driven hard picking up all that fallout.
@SpeckyMcSporran2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I completely emptied that bottle but it was only in for a wash. Next time I'm hoping to have it for a weekend to fully Decon and polish the paint before going for a wrap.

Fit like loon. My personal preference is not to pre rinse for 2 reasons if there is mud and grit on the car and you hit it with high pressure water you rattle that across your paint to its detriment and also once it has been pre rinsed anything then applied is further diluted and will not work to its full potential. I used to pre rinse but now I don't but I do treat the car with citrus overlaid with Snow but have been given a hint re that method recently ie putting the citrus in the lance with the snow for added bite. Not tried it myself as I have been using HD Snow by M & K since the weather turned that bit wetter then Snow to dilute any remnants of the HD Snow with great results. Tidy job on the VXR it reminded me on my Corsa VXR in that paint colour. The wheels on mine were not good as the seemed porous then the lacquer started to peel in places. Great car and a lot of fun to drive until it started to blow turbos ie 200 yards from the garage after the second warranty claim. I traded it in shortly after that for the Fiesta ST and had no regrets. Great job and I think you and I prefer to detail a dirty car as the transformation is so much more satisfying. One of my clients recently owned up that she had her car detailed by someone else as she was too embarrassed to bring it back to me in the state it was in in case I reprimanded her on not up keeping my good work, I have assured her I get more satisfaction the dirtier it is. Quick question do you find there is less marring with the G3 mitt than a clay bar hence lessening the need for a machine polish afterwards. I have stopped using clay and even the G3 Mitt and focus purely on a chemical decon as I do not enjoy machine polishing sadly. Good watch and thought provoking on 1 bucket method. My preference would still be two buckets of water. Are you nearing the point of rinse less washing & not using the snow foam at all as that seems to be a 1 bucket method.
@SpeckyMcSporran2 жыл бұрын
Fit likey? I think I'll always pre-rinse in the colder/wetter months and possibly skip it in the warmer months. I do love a dirty car and especially when I have to tackle something unexpected like the iron fallout. I find most clay to be the same when it comes to marring, I just prefer the mitt due to the larger working area and reusability. I'll always attempt a chemical decon first and only use clay when all else fails. Rinseless washing will only be a summer option for me, winter washes will always be heavy on pre-rise and pre-wash.

Hola Mr. Specky! What an EXCELLENT video, really! Talking about washing methods, perhaps the best method is a combination of your method and 5 wash gloves, so we can minimize risks of scratches. My best friend had an Black Astra (the same year as this one), and something I’ve noticed is that the clear coat was extremely soft, possibly that’s why this one had so much contamination (who knows). (Sorry for my bad english) Kind regards from Mallorca, Spain, definitely an excellent job👍👍👍

Another cracking video and what a great job you did (as always) with a filthy car Specky. All the products looked top draw stuff and nicely presented too. I also put the shampoo onto the car with a snowfoam lance, the Autoglym Polar series started me off when I did my van and I just carried on when I started using Garage Therapy. I truly thought you were using sandpaper on the back end if I hadn't seen you use the clay mitt. I got my mitt after I saw you review one many moons ago, I find it better than holding a small piece of clay, praying you don't drop it (again 😡😡).

Nice to see experiments and how they turn with Doctor Specky McSporran-stein 👌👍😄 That's how it has to be left after having fun with the car, else what's the purpose of having a car. If you have lots of money then you can have Garage queens but you can also have fun with them while taking good care of them and that's where we come up.😄😄😄 that's what most of us do pre-rinse the vehicle before the contact wash if any, saves you time and time is money besides cleaning is effective.

A great turnaround Scottie, I wonder with the contamination being so bad on the rear it might of had a sticking brake at some point. If that was the outside I fear for the inside job if you get to do it, definitely a job to be done with gloves on.

Super late comment but I’ll comment anyway, my only problem with your pre rinse test is that you put on the pre wash after you let the rinse side dry first. So you’ve basically just done the same test again in a way. No bash just my observation mate.
