Thanks mate I use this method in winter , I blast off wash mit with trigger gun rather than rinse bucket

Yeah I've done that myself though I still prefer a rinse bucket. I may have to cover that in a video soon.

Great video! Thanks for your thoughts on the product. I've recently started using my foam lance to apply the shampoo and almost prefer it now, to using a bucket.

My worx hydroshot can't do snowfoam, but that stuff is so mega thick im really tempted to give it a go. And if it fails, IK foamer for the wheels or bikes. Spray this over some surfex. A bit of theatre to BH's stout workman like demeanor! Cheers for the video and the podcasts!

Be interesting to see a varied amount of shampoos tried this way . I take it you could use a standard shampoo as well as a dedicated one ? The reduced amount of water used should be a huge selling point to the more eco friendly detailers out there too

Not all shampoos can be used this way, but many modern ones can

@@SpeckyMcSporran it's having the information to know this mate . Pointless thinking say Auto Glym shampoo will when it won't if you have tried a GT One and it does etc . Think you have mentioned before in the warmer months you don't need the deep cleaning snow foams as that grime from winter driving isn't there so this could be that happy medium to fix the need to use a foam if this would loosen what dirt there is before a contact is started . If I've got that right

The price was originally USD 20 for this shampoo, which was ways too much. At USD 13 it is more bearable, however need to keep in mind that you have to use a lot of it... But in general, it is a good stuff. At 1:03 (in the background), I thought this must be the "what's next", after this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5PYqJqYpM1lepo 🤣 Oh...forgot to mention: For me, the foam stays sometimes even the next day (especially on colder days).

@@SpeckyMcSporran thanks for the speedy response. Top bloke. I really enjoyed watching this channel, you seem really down to earth and honest with your reviews. Many detailers talk a lot of bullshit and just product-push but your videos are a breathe of fresh air in comparison. I also took a leaf out of your book and got the rimmats (good recommendation btw). Anyway, I hope you are well and I look forward to your return to youtube.

Wouldn't be broadcasting the use of palm oil as a positive, it definitely isn't. For me it's a faff using a foam cannon & increases the chances of the shampoo drying out on paint. Even more so in the summer. I've tried to make it work in my routine as I do enjoy how it feels when cleaning the car but for me it just has too many drawbacks for it to be feasible.
@SpeckyMcSporran Жыл бұрын
That's fair, it's not for everyone.
@johnbrown3951 Жыл бұрын
Fit like loon. It's not often that I find myself disagreeing with you but I am going to make an exception with both the product and method. Firstly with regards Palm Oil I an aware it is fairly common in detailing products and most products we use have little or no chemical listings on them but for a product to use this as a tag for selling it I think is poor in this day and age where we are trying to be more sustainable. Palm Oil production is one of the biggest causes of deforestation in the world which is a cause of global warming. I realise that there are farmers who produce it in a sustainable way but with the Chemical Industry being about price for end users I find it difficult to believe it is being sourced from a more expensive farming method but I may be wrong. There is a growing call for this product to be banned or limited so surely this is something our Industry should be supporting not condoning. This is my thoughts on the matter and I was born in a Country that relies on Palm Oil as an Export Commodity. Secondly with regards to the method I am not convinced that a mitt can cover a whole car without it being rinsed out, I for one use a two bucket method religiously with grit guards in both buckets but still use a different microfibre mitt on the bottom sections of my cars. I have tried shampoo in my foam lance but I will not be doing it going forward. If I was concerned with the price of my lance there are plenty of spray and rinse products that can be used to justify the cost of purchase but not shampoo and certainly not one that boasts about Palm Oil as an ingredient. Rant over but as usual I enjoyed your content and will not stop me from watching your future films and your channel growing. I must say also that with regards MJJC if I was to invest in a new lance it would probably be one of their lances as I think they are the best and the fact they are advertising Palm Oil has not changed that but I would humbly ask them to think about a re brand if they felt that they must continue to use Palm Oil or to insist it is sourced from a sustainable source if it is not already and advertise that.
@SpeckyMcSporran Жыл бұрын
Aye John, fair points all. I did rinse the mitt out, I just didn't show it on the video but I understand that could lead someone to thinking that. As for palm oil, I asked about it and they didn't tell me if theirs was ethically sourced or not.
@johnbrown3951 Жыл бұрын
I presumed you did rinse out the mitt and that footage was left on the cutting room floor and that shows my age. I know you are not daft and wouldn't drag a dirty mitt round the whole car but I thought it was worth commenting on that. Enough said on the other point I stated my position and will leave it there if anyone wants to read it. @@SpeckyMcSporran
