I am SHOCKED! I once had to take her shopping for her grandfather’s funeral and I thought I would pull my hair out. After MANY HOURS at the mall, she did manage to find something. BUT, using these FN recommendations, and colors she likes such as green, blue, orange, and yellow... I made a list of possibilities on Thredup, from which she chose 4 shirts, 3 pairs of pants, a skirt (😱) and a dress (😱) and it only took her about 10 minutes to pick out what she liked. I couldn’t believe it. THANK YOU!!!!

Thank you so much. Love the tops, so hard to find tops that don’t make me feel like my shoulders are always entering the room before me or looking like a linebacker. A maxi skirt in a soft denim or linen ( not to stiff ) can add even more options to that nice capsule wardrobe. A pair of shorts ( one casual and one dressy) and that would be a pretty complete wardrobe for me as a FN. I love the color palette too.❤

I feel you! I have wide shoulders too and it was such a struggle until I figured out I was FN and not just a female linebacker lol. And totally agree on the additions you would make! 🥰

Well, I didn't die of boredom and leave as my epitaph: Died due to the frustration of no one else knowing what the word flamboyant means! Which means, you've done better than most. I think you have direly underestimated the need for something hot orange, something teal and something in black leather. I mean, something big, in case the black shoes are in leather, which I find doubtful. I hate the sleeveless tunic thing. Love a good tunic, though. Just would prefer a boatneck. I do really like that some of the outfits are just weird enough to make people wonder why that person wearing it looks good. So, even though I would like to argue, I think I approve. Darn it!

YES I love this Most of these outfits are a little too "cool" and sporty for me, but I agree that you can make almost any style work for your body type if you just pick pieces that suit your lines. And 100% agree that colour has not much to do with body type and more with a person's natural colouring and contrast. TBH it makes your outfits more interesting too (a "boho" outfit but in monochrome black with minimal jewellery, a "romantic" outfit in an unusual print etc)

Im a warmspring and flamboyant natural to the T. I just fit exactly in those categories. I just keep seeing contrafictory information about FN I havent completly understood what technically looks better. I do flow towards things youve mentioner without realising they would look good on me. I just cant get out of wearing skinny jeans...

I get that! Nothing wrong with liking skinny jeans. If you are trying to get away from skinnies, I would recommend trying a straight leg just to see how you like it. Depending on your own unique shape, skinnies might work perfectly for you!

I love dancing and would interpret a Flambouyant Natural as the flambouyant Flamenco and Latin American dancers. Energetic, fast movements, the dresses are fit and flare emphasising the waist with lots of fringing or flouncy, very showy-offy, feminine and oh so sexy. The colour red expresses it perfectly. Flambouyant and flamenco comes from the word flame. Hot, flickering movements and colour. Imagine a short red form fitting fringed dressed and how it would move in a fast dance. I liked your blue halterneck top and red and white trousers and some of the trousers that had a bit of flare at the bottom, perfect for practising latin american dancing in.. Other outfits such as the sweatshirt, jeans and sneakers/trainers are more natural. There is no sense of flambouyance there. Please keep up the good work, as a SN with a slightly showy off flambouyant side, I am enjoying your videos very much.

How would you describe your personal style? FN is a body type, not a style, so don't feel like you have to ascribe to any particular style because of your body type! The basic recommendations for FN would be to accommodate the width in your shoulders in your clothing selections, and to honor your long vertical line when putting outfits together. And you don't have to follow those either (although as an FN myself I can't stand feeling constricted in the shoulder/arm area - so accommodating width is a must for me personally)!

@@alyssarudman I think it’s more like I feel really frumpy in loose fitting clothing. In everything I’ve read about styling for FN there’s always a wide pant leg or loose jackets that are recommended. Since I’m taller and bigger boned I feel like the loose stuff feels like a tent on me and I can’t seem to find wide pant legs that look good-because I’m tall and the wider legged pants always look like high waters. I also have gained weight and have bigger boobs now and that’s been difficult to style without looking like my mother

Kibbe always confuses me because I'm 5'11 with obviously broad and square shoulders, an elongated torso, long slender arms and a small head in proportion to the rest of my body so I should be an FN but I also have lipoedema so I have a tiny waist with wide hips and a bubble butt. I'm too elongated to be a soft dramatic but too curvy to be a FN... I use the fact that I have more "tomboyish" energy and look like a circus clown in anything too dressy or overly feminine to determine that I am a FN but every time I see I should have slender hips it throws me off.

Conditions like lipoedema won’t change your body type, and there’s no such thing as being “too curvy” to be FN. FN usually have narrow hips (compared to shoulders) in their bone structure specifically, but many FN do tend to gain weight below the waist which can give them curves. It sounds to me like you are FN and may benefit from incorporating some SD recommendations (if you want to highlight your small waist).
