Night edition it's The Night edition.... Good watch

Thanks for watching! I thought the night edition was a higher trim level with leather and the upgraded hood and what not. Mine was just a big horn but I could have definitely been wrong though!

So do you feel the vr1 boost would have a better ride?
@Revrider5502 ай бұрын
Definitely prefer the valving of the shocks on the VR1 for groomed or choppy trail riding but the front is very glued to the snow and makes mogul riding a little rougher. Just depends on the kind of riding you do most.

If its a p1202 that is a oil switch sensor. it literally has nothing to do with oil pressure. That switch/sensor is a tattle tale sensor that just makes sure the tops switch is functioning correctly. it reads blow by pressure/ crank case pressure. They go bad frequently.

I agree with you about polaris. I have owned other company brand sleds and my opinion is polaris are going to be at the top and get customers on them then Ski-Doo. For instance I saw three months ago a group of people on sleds and the they all had polaris sleds except 3 of them had Ski-Doo and I think polaris is going to be a very popular sled out there so I give polaris the thumbs up 👍 and very excited because I'm getting my own 2020 Polaris 800 and I'll be doing KZbin videos on my sled as well
@danielmeilleur17459 ай бұрын
Good day I just run across your KZbin channel I like to get an honest opinion which one is better on fuel and oil the Polaris 850 or the Bombardier 850
@Revrider5509 ай бұрын
Thanks for checking out the channel! The gas mileage is basically the same. The doo has a slightly smaller tank so if range is your goal the Polaris can go a little further. During break in they are pretty similar on oil mileage. After the Polaris has been better in my experience. The Polaris 850 is a little more finicky I will say. You have to make sure to let it fully warm up after you start it so you don’t foul plugs and cold seems to effect it a bit more than the 850 etec
@skoberti9 ай бұрын
$20,000 spent... I opt for Ski-Doo... better product... more reliable and better quality... Polaris puts a lot of money into advertising to say that they are the best... and this This is not the case...stop being fooled!

@NHWilderness10 ай бұрын
So I'm looking in2 getting a new sled and have always riden arctic cat but the old style my last sled was a 99 thundercat sold it a couple of years ago been lookingbat the 2024 riot but am Def not brand locked on my decision what do you think is the best all around sled in the 800 class for comfort reliability and handling?
@Revrider55010 ай бұрын
This is not intended to be a dig at cat and I know some people would disagree but the 800 ctec is an underwhelming 800 class engine in my opinion. I’ve had 800 liberties, 850 patriots, 850 etecs, and now a boost and honestly the power of the 800 ctec never wowed me. If you’re not concerned with power I’d say the procross sleds are a great option for comfort handling and reliability. I’d probably go with a 137 over a riot (slightly better on trails manners and the riot is not a very playful crossover sled anyway) but that being said the riot is one of the best handling crossovers on-trail that I have ridden. I’d only recommend a 137 because they’re a little more glued to the snow and have less inside ski lift. I saw your other comment as well and based off having had the riot for 4 years I’ve often thought about trading it for a thundercat so personally I would go that route. In my opinion these are the best sleds in each category Crossover - 850 Assault Big bump sled - Lynx rave RE Groomed (smaller bump) trail shredder - doo XRS 850 Lake racer/long ride sled - thundercat (or even SRX but the clutching and track options on the thundercat are slightly better IMO)

@@Revrider550 wow thanks for that reply I have commented on many vids and never gotten even a small reply. I’m on my way to check out the thundercat there’s one only 1/2 an hour from me in barnstead went and looked at it the other day, but they were closed. I could see it through the window then I’m gonna head to Laconia to the Polaris dealer and check out their sleds as well they also carry Yamaha. I did notice a big difference when you were on the riot in the powder and then yours on the powder yours the skis were right on top definitely seemed to be a big difference between the two sleds. I’m 55 and unfortunately a little on the heavy side I won’t be going off trail and will do a lot of lake riding if the lake ever freezes it’s January 17th and lake winnipesaukee hasn’t even fully caught yet half the lake hasn’t frozen..will be interesting to sit on these sleds for I have never riden the rider forward sleds b4. I’ll put a couple of videos on my 5 subscribers channel lol if you’re interested later.. thanks again
@Revrider55010 ай бұрын
Sorry about that! Comments can get lost in my notifications so I have to go looking for them at times. Nice! My dad loves the procross chassis and is around the same age. The Polaris chassis is definitely a bit more rider forward and more active of a ride. It handles better the more you move around on the sled. The procross will handle better if you shift your body around but it’s not as necessary to make it handle “well”.

Make sure the pump has a separate hose for premium, some pumps have 1 hose and 3 grades of fuel, if a car using 87 was in front of you you can get 1 gal of 87 before you start seeing 92 octane premium.

Leave land onto water fast, leave water onto land slow. When I make my transitions to land off of water I usually chop a lot of throttle in the last 15 feet of water before shore. Doing this you can land on beaches and shorelines just big enough for the sled while coming to a gentle stop. If it's really tight in the last couple feet you can get on the brakes and pitch it 90 degrees to avoid whatever is right beyond shore. I preach to my wife about never crossing faster than you need to if your unsure about the other side. We do a lot of river riding. I get that none of this applys to doing wheelies over a little hole but it's something to think about
@jodypierson313711 ай бұрын
My xcr showed max detonation once and I had been filling with 91 non ethanol after that I found a gas station in town that sells 94 octane and never had an issue again, it’s 6.20 a gallon but it also doesn’t go bad as quick as regular gas
