Canada is really an economic extension of the US and has been since the 19th century. Australia has had more varied economic big brothers-but none to the extent of the USA Canada nexus -firstly Britain then Japan and now China. Who knows it may be India next. Geographic position makes the countries different.

Easy question. Singapore was and is led by smart, forward looking leaders who care for the people and have the nation at heart. Neighboring countrie are, down in the sewer because the leaders are not that bright and only care for their own pockets. Got it? Don't need a rocket scientist to answer the question.

I am living in HCMC, and in the last 2 years, I wanted to move to Ireland to pursue a master's degree and stay back to find work. However, after doing some calculations, the net salary for a fresh graduate and living expenses in Ireland will make me earn less than the time I live in Vietnam. By Living in Vietnam, I can make a down payment and get a mortgage for a house within 2 years and quickly secure my life, but going to Ireland will take me more than 5 years to get a house in Vietnam

I don’t know what it’s like in Canada but here in Australia, the mining industry only employs about 200,000 people (less than 2% of the workforce) and pays next to no taxes while making ludicrous amounts of profit. (300 billion in profit while revenue was 455 billion.) The profits are either put into the pockets of wealthy companies or siphoned to their overseas investors. The Australia people see little benefit from the mining sector except for the lucky few who manage to snag a high paying mining job. You’d think 200K people being paid really well would benefit the economy but when their onsite, all their expenses are paid for by the company which means they are able to save most of their money anddddddd… invest in property because it’s so lucrative in this bloody country. We have this massive mining sector and all the profits go into wealthy investors, a lot of which are from overseas and the profit that IS given to the Australian people (through jobs) is just put into the housing market which exacerbates the problems from our bloated housing market. We are on paper an economic giant but in reality the mining industry barely contributes to Australia. And it’s not like we could even change this, our politicians are all bought and paid for BY THE MINING COMPANIES. Our “independent” boards are littered with people from the mining industry. Even the Australian EPA which should be independent has a clause that allows politicians to override the EPA’s decisions.

Trudeau allowed 1.3 million immigrants last year alone. Over 3 percent of the population. The idea seems to be to swamp Canada with economic migrants. No housing.. No doctors available for ordinary Canadians. DUH?

How about the sectet WEF Cannabilistic Rituals performed in the basement of Sussex Dr ., ( Prime Minister's residence ). Presided over by Deputy Fuhrer Freeland , ( decked out like a midget Dominatrix ), and attended by her Àzov Brigade pals under the benevolent Direction of the WEF and CCP 🇨🇳 . " Idi Amin was right ", Twitched Freeland " Eating the heart of your enemy gives you extraordinary bravery and strength ! ". "Eat up Justin ," she cackled , "You need this ." With a crack of her whip she served up Jeremy McKenzie's heart. " I'm going to have a Ball !" cried the Deputy Fuhrer . So with a Fearless Dear Leader Justin , and a "Ballsy" Deputy Fuhrer the Liberal Party of Canada ( a wholly owned subsiduary of the Chinese Communist Party 🇨🇳 ) are prepared for the comming Election. A good time was had by all, except for Jeremy , Poor Bastard .
I'm not so optimistic about my country, Vietnam can not get out the middle income trap... of course, there are so many problem behind that, corruption, lack of industry investment, and the people not really care about "education", they just want to blow the price of real estate and sell it. Not so healthy economic..

Since 2015, the Trudeau government in Canada has increased immigration to 3% of the population annually (and unlimited student visas) which is the highest population growth since the height of the baby boom generation in 1957. The problem is that the high number of immigrants has made the cost of housing unaffordable for most young people. A new increase in the capital gains tax which is designed to build more homes will drive away investment and further hurt Canada's lagging productivity.

Some people have other money, they try to settle in another country. Do you think such a country is really rich?

The greatest threat facing the Kenyan economy going forward is lack of fiscal discipline. There's a price you pay for careless and wasteful public debt. You loose fiscal autonomy, which means foreigners decided what, how much and when to tax. When you reach that point, of which we are already there, you cannot legislate policies that attract investments. To attract investments, you need low taxes, low cost of labor and low cost of energy. These are the primary factor conditions. Of course, other factor conditions are good policies, skills, infrastructure & supporting industries. our government fucked up on debt, now they are fucking us with tax and high cost of power. We would be miles ahead if we had competent and visionary politicians....but maybe there's hope
