According to IMF projections, India and Indonesia are expected to be the fastest-growing economies among the top 20 in 2023 and the next five years. These Asian powerhouses, with a collective population of 1.7 billion, are currently among the fastest-growing economies in the world. In this video, we will take a closer look at these rising powers in the global economy and their race to the top.
India, with its massive population and rapidly developing infrastructure, has emerged as a major player in the global economy. Its manufacturing sector, which includes industries such as automobiles, pharmaceuticals, and IT services, has grown significantly in recent years. Similarly, Indonesia has made significant strides in its manufacturing and infrastructure sectors. The country has become a major exporter of textiles, palm oil, and electronics, among other products.

I think Indonesia has advantage in logistics. They are closer to developed economies of East Asia. Their transport system will be based on Water, much better than India's land based transport. But India has advantage in population. A lot more workforce. Also currently better in digital infrastructure and IT. Edit: sorry, guys. I was wrong. According to Indonesian people, it's much harder for them to build infrastructure due to mountains and forests and combined with being lots of islands.

But India have great extended railway tho? Indonesian doesn't even have a good ship-base ecosystems like shipping and/or ship making companies yet, we still relly on foreign country/company for that. A good local ship-making company is a military one, and a good shipping company is a ferry-focused company one, and all that is state owned. But yes there's still big opportunity and advantages.

All big cities are always near the coast, so I thought Indonesia will have a lot of opportunities. But looking up about logistics index, India(38th rank) seems to do better than Indonesia(63rd). Maybe last mile connectivity is low in Indonesia? Nevertheless we were at similar rank Indonesia (53rd), India(54th) in 2014, but after that govt focused a lot on infrastructure and other logistics issues.

You have over 17,000 islands and the government doesn't have much to spend to begin with so for a long time their investment in tourism was mainly focused on Bali, especially given how close it is to Java. Thing do seem to be changing though, partially as a response to overcrowding in Bali and partially due to Indonesia's desire to be less centralized (they also plan to move their capital from Jakarta to the Island of Borneo)

India's Fertility rate is just 2.0 and india being a democracy never imposed one child policy due to which today India's gender ratio is completely stable of 1020 females per 1000 males while China imposing one child policy destroyed it's gender ratio 1045 males per 1000 females in China. Apart from that india has the world's largest amount of fertile plain and that's the very reason historically indian plateau was always highly populated because crops were easily grown in the land of India. Conflict is what's keeping South Asia down. Draining and diverting resources to oversized militaries which could have been used in other places. South East Asia has done better in this case of integrating themselves economically and avoiding conflict.

Sorry but no curruption cases on Indian govt. It's the best and cleanest govt that's working effectively since 10 years. All project be ports, highways, expressways get done efficiently and on time. And world need to learn religious tolerance from India. We have all Muslim sects in India, ahmedis, Shias, hazaras. Unlike other nations where they are targeted and killed as non Muslims. India has largest no of mosques in world. Unlike other nations where even temple building or cremation is not allowed. India is only country were largest no of parsis in world aka presented Persians zorastrian live. When world were presecuting Jews, India sheltered them. Jus like Tibetans. We also give minority haj subsidiary and exempt waqf Muslim board from tax, while the temples pay tax. In India govt pays for madrassa and their teachers. So it's the world that needs to learn from india

@@sunisbeautiful8695 when I say corruption i'm also considering the local gov bodies like sarpanch municipality they don't do there work efficiently there are still many areas where there is no proper drainage system we are still unable to recycle the water indeed central gov had done many things to improve infrastructure but every gov body should do there work properly....and yes we are far better in religious tolerance but there is nothing bad if we can learn something from others
