Monteagle was my first mountain solo. I was nervous, I smelled hot brakes and thought I was gonna die. However, it was the truck in front of me. His trailer brakes were smoking and creating a nice smoke screen all the way down. He eventually pulled off to the side once things leveled out, but he was booking it down the hill.

Hey bro gud evening how are you one quick question when backing up a 28ft container is it the same concept as the 53 ft. I would love if you could do a video on backing a 28ft step by step video
@bigrigpro76311 күн бұрын
So what matters is the wheelbase of the chassis. A shorter wheelbase for the tandems on a 28' trailer will make the trailer turn faster than a trailer with the tandems further back toward the trailer. The concept is exactly the same except turning the trailer on a shorter trailer will occur more rapidly than a longer (like a 53' trailer). So I recommend going slow when backing a 28' trailer.

If you want a real challenge, try backing up a loaded straight bore tanker. If you dont do it right, you get a surge in the tank that tries to push you in the opposite direction. That makes the cab rock n roll.
@GodisG00D777Ай бұрын
Great video! But maybe include tug test.
@coachbb899Ай бұрын
One issue that I have started addressing with shippers and receivers is the space between dock and front of the truck. Safety standards require 140’ of space from front of docked truck. Many of these places park trailers in the staging area which creates unnecessary hazards for drivers.

Although I ate healthy low fat foods in my regular diet, I was also consuming a vast amount of sugar in my diet. For the longest time, I didn't know why I continued to consistently gain weight. Even though I was eating healthy foods everyday, I was eating cookies, ice cream, cake, chips, and many other sugary snacks. I would drench the salad I would eat in sugary salad dressings. I decided that I needed a change. My plan of attack was to eliminate voluntary sugar out of my diet permanently (except for the 2-3 grams of sugar per serving that is added to the food I eat). I decided to eat small meals more frequently and cut out foods like bread and pasta that turned into sugar. As a way to keep it real, I allow myself to eat what I want on Sunday of each week (still no sugar though on that day). It's been 2 weeks since I started my new journey, and this is what's happened to date. I've lost 13 pounds. I have healthier skin. My back pain has considerably decreased (which I later learned that sugar is highly inflammatory to the body). I am starting to fit into my old clothes. I have more energy and more confidence in myself. I started at 265 lbs, and am currently at 252 lbs. My next physical is in October, and I can't wait to see the results. So now, I have made a supplemental goal. I want to get to 185 by the end of this year, which is the weight I was at when I was a young man. We'll see what happens. But everyday on this journey is a new day. I feel transformed already, and I'm never going back to voluntary sugar. Find it within yourself to make these wonderful changes and you will be a much happier person 🙂

On landing gear if loaded which way you turn to lift them and if low/high gear? I get confused whether loaded or empty
@bigrigpro763Ай бұрын
Raising the landing gear is clockwise Lower the landing gear is counterclockwise You'll hardly ever be able to raise landing gear when the trailer is loaded. In most all cases, raising or lowering landing gear is easiest done in low gear. The handle will need to be cranked slower in lower gear.
