And that's the highest those robots will ever cost. So the $105k over a 5 year period will quickly dwindle to $10k over a 5 year period. And finally, $1k over a 10 year period. And it won't take long, I doubt we'll even make it through the first 5 year period before they're selling robots that are much cheaper.

I have used my water blaster for years to clean the house and grounds. I always wear boots, eye and hearing protection. I’m cautious because I know the psi of the water blaster I’m using can cut through flesh like a hot knife through butter. STILL….I momentarily let down my guard and acted impulsively, sticking my hand into the water jet for a fraction of a second. I sustained a pretty good slice that could have been fatal if it had been a bit deeper (cutting wrist veins). Point of the story: I would DEFINITELY buy an Optimus robot for home use, yard work, water blasting, etc.

Honestly, I think that even if you don't get to full auto robots. Being able to teleoperate them could allow people to do things they normally could not, while putting less strain on the person and that alone could be game changing. Now imagine if it can auto walk station to station and you just bounce robot to robot to "do the task" now you can get a lot more done as an operator then you otherwise could while using way less energy. Think about that for a second.

😄Good day from Goonellabah, NSW, Australia. I will raise a minimum of AU$1,800.000.00. Those who have helped me the people and companies: 1. Nurses and Doctors 2. Base Hospital and Ballina Rehabilitation Hospital 3. NSW Ambulance Service-By the end of 2027, Australia will have Tesla Optimus robots and Robovan to ambulances in 2029. The Robovan could replace bus transport passengers, good and Tesla Optimus. I would support that. 4. All my friends who are worse than me and people who have helped me. Lismore GSAC Baths. 5. Neuralink will help those who are worse off than me. I shall take two Tesla Optimus robots. We are getting 30 Tesla Optimus robots for Northern Coast NSW by 2026. I had a stroke on 4 July 2019. My wife, Kate, saved me. I am now swimming 120 lengths, 25m, at Goonellabah Pool, which has a total length of 3,000m, four times a week. I will swim in 25 m and 50 m pools when circumnavigating Australia. We shall have them for the disabled and elderly to help them in their homes or for anybody who will use them for any task they cannot do. They will be more intelligent than most people. I am embarking on a significant six-month journey. I'll be circumnavigating Australia in two Cybertrucks and a Tesla Semi, covering a substantial 22,000 kilometres. This journey is set to commence at the end of September 2025. Elon Musk will help me. 🤗Cheers, Ian Cleland

NOBODY cares what the Nazi nut-job Musk says!! I'm confident the Tesla robot will be a bigger flop than the Cybertruck as very, very few people will pay $40k for a machine to vacuum their floors and dust their furniture. Some manufacturing co's may implement them but, most won't as they have specialized robots already, for specific tasks.

I'd say Elon will be, looking at the amazing results from DeepSeek R1 in order to bring training costs down, If Elon is primarily using the new AI facility with a 1,000 H1 Nvidia chips for Tesla's FSD then what are Dojo XAI and Grok doing? Musk must have the most Large scale Mainframe AI centers in the world, yet the Chinese are keeping up with less and lower quality chips?

2:00 - training needs. I fully expect Tesla to introduce changes into their training process similar to those made by DerpSeek. These are public algorithms that allow two orders of magnitude improvement in training time. DeepSeek trained with 1/45th the processing cost because of great optimizations. I expect Tesla to optimize just as much.

The finished models are open source, to my knowledge nothing around making them is. Same with Meta and llama. It' great that it enables people to use them and tune them but that's it. If I'm wrong point me to those algorithms
@JohnBoen9 сағат бұрын
@@perkristiansson9794 I think...that is correct for openAI, but Llama models are open weights, have provided a way to train, and have published the data they used to produce the results. And this must be true because DeepSeek was based on Llama3. DeepSeek-R1 came with a complete set of instructions on replicating their results, too. Perhaps I misunderstand you. Let me know. Several university students and research labs have reported partial results - it is about 40x faster. Many interesting optimizations were made because China didn't have access to modern GPU cards. Instructions can be found on HuggingFace. * If I offer a link I think it might think I am spam.

Also think about someone hacking into you human robot toy at home and having it strangle you and opening the door for the criminals! Even the little robot vacuum cleaners have already been hacked and their microphones and cameras used to spy of their users! These robots are so far just gimmicks to get investors money.

I agree with another commenter. Until we see an Optimus robot actually doing meaningful work, like assembling something of significance, can be a number of them working together, it doesn't matter, and they do it quickly, efficiently, and with precision and accuracy, it is hard to get super excited, as impressive as it seems with their various video releases. I mean, it seems awesome, but let's see a video of it doing something really meaningful so we can really get excited! Then when one's battery is getting low, another comes to replace it while the one goes and recharges etc... Just imagine releasing a video of all of that. That would be awesome

@RoqueExclusives19 сағат бұрын
I don’t think it matters as much if it can do it quickly, as long as it’s accurate. Even if it does a task at 1/3 speed in 24 hours it’ll do the same as a human in 8 hours. That’s not including working 2 extra days. So it could be even slower and still produce the same results at the end of the week.
@travisjazzbo349019 сағат бұрын

@@RoqueExclusives It is an interesting point for sure because you also have to think about volume as well as timeliness in many jobs.
