Hey mate, I had a similar experience, although the bushes are meant to be undersized and reamed to fit. RC sent me gritty bearings though, very disappointed. I got all my stuff from oz bantams in the end and bones is the best there is, was extremely helpful too

The pivot in the stator plate was loose on my 1953 D1 125, so I carried a pair of pliers, some copper wire and a set of feeler gauges. The pivot would be tied down to one of screws by the copper wire and this would hold for about 50 miles. I find out that riding through puddles would cool the engine a bit and I could sometimes get 60 miles between resetting the spark gap on a rainy day. the obvious solution was to buy a new stator plate from the incredible Guivers in Sutton. But the paper round money just wouldn't reach for such exotic spares.

Hold the "tickler" down steadily until fuel dribbles out of the carb intake...then release the tickler. Now you have a nice rich mixture for initial starting...

I did a bit of tuning on my 125 deluxe, a lot of polishing and bearing changes but I stuffed the crankcase with sheet aluminium which you didn't. I rode the fastest 125 Bantam D1 around. I also used Bardahl two stroke mix at 40:1. Not available now?

Hi, this is a super model. I like it. I am from India. I am working on similar config for e-CL model for school kids in our Indian environment. Whats the wings span & total flying weight? I am also exploring viable solution to keep the esc, lipo/alternate battery pack away from the plane. This is becos of safety point of view as well to regulate the throttle and have the feature of power on/off.

The first motorcycle I had when I was 16 in the 60s was a 125cc BSA Bantam. I paid £5 for it and he also gave me a helmet and gauntlets. I loved that bike and we had many adventures together. My Bantam gave me the freedom to go where I wanted to, which was great. I paid about £2. 10 shillings for insurance and about £1 to tax it. petrol was £1 for four gallons including 2-stroke oil. Best days of my life.

I did my first loop (and some inverted) with a KK Firebird /OS 15 glow engine. I think the coupled flaps and elevator definitely helped to pull the loop through. I'm now going back to C/L flying and after a couple of flights on a trainer (40 years later !), will try a Mercury Cobra stunt trainer, or, something similar....My advice - join a club and get lots of friendly help and fun.

Never seen inside a Bantam. With Jap two stroke singles as long as it hasn't got tons of end float it should be OK. There's always a little clearance, that's what oil is for.

Your flying kind of looks like my flying. I have a Superpower electric and fly with it either on a 52' line or 60' line and I've crashed it more than it's been in the air. Put it back together and fly it again. It's funny because I should be way better than I am especially since my Dad flew control line when I was a kid but I never took the time to learn from him. Teenage years definitely got in the way of that and, of course, now I wish I had learned from him. Oh well, I'll keep trying until I get it right. But I'm flying solo and there's no one around in my area to help me maneuver me through my mistakes.

I own a 1962 Lambretta, so don't know anything about Bantams. I went with my Dad to visit his brother recently, who has just bought a 1955 150 model. I must say, it's a beautiful little bike. For some reason, the bike appears to select 1st gear, but no power goes to the wheel. 2nd and 3rd gear are fine.
