@CFBNerds - What did you think about Garrett Nussmeier this year with pro style concepts/post-snap reads and what do you think about him next season? He is a coaches son that grew up around this stuff, I think he is up for the Heisman next season and wins the CFB National Championship. It is between PSU, TX, and LSU next season, in my humble opinion. Thoughts?

I think he's probably the best known quantity at QB in the SEC heading into the 2025 season.

@@CollegeFootballNerds I think that LSU will have a top 3 QB, WR, TE, and RB room with a decent O-Line. Every position group on defense was upgraded with the players that LSU bought. Watch out, LSU is set up to win it all.

These clowns lost all of their credibility when they tried to paint the picture that Indiana gave the game away to Notre Dame. The game was 27 to 3 Indiana scored two touchdowns very late on Notre Dame second string defense. Also was helped by an onside recovery for Indiana. Anybody watched that game also realizes that yards were hard to come by due to frigid conditions. Notre Dame’s defense lockdown Indiana all night.

I like these kinds of videos but I have a serious question Josh. In the first video of Leonard you say “Penn state doesn’t have elite athletes on the outside to make an explosive play on the screen play.” Fundamentally disagree but that’s an interpretation of the work elite so fine. Then on the second play you say “Lane Kiffin checks into a play but against these elite defenses you’re not going to run well enough.” Implying they have too much speed. There seems to be a reactionary every big ten team not named Ohio State or Oregon don’t have what you call “SEC speed or talent” and it makes the videos very difficult to listen to.
@CollegeFootballNerds15 күн бұрын
You fundamentally misunderstand. In the first video I’m saying there’s a bit of space but the WRs aren’t good enough to make someone miss in a phone booth, or manhandle DBs blocking, to turn it upfield. Thats what the tape is showing. But in the second instance I’m saying Kiffin, purely as a matter of scheme and his style of offense, loves to check to runs on 3rd and long versus weak fronts, but Penn State is an example of a defense good enough where it just never works and you are simply forced to throw it. I’m saying Kiffin would try to run it and fail.

Only Oregon has scored 20 points on ohio state. Oregon is a balanced offense. They have explosive receiver's and a good O line with dude who had 5 count them 5 3,000 yard passing seasons in college football (absolutely absurd and shouldn't have been allowed to happen). I'm gonna go on a limb here and say ND does not score 20 points. 13 is probably the best they're gonna muster especially with a banged up O line. ND has not played reciver's like Ohio States. There heavy cover 1 defense is not a good matchup in this game. Will Howard looks at man coverage like spongebob looking at a glass of water.

I think Notre Dame wins 24-21. The Notre Dame defensive line will decide this game. If Ohio State has one area they are not strong in (I hesitate to use the word "weakness"), it is their offensive line.
@eric50gobucks16 күн бұрын
The only way you can score 20 on ohio state is if you have elite reciever talent and even then its not a guaranteed thing (ask texas). Notre Dame does not have that.

6:08 you make a good point here that I’ve always thought about. Pro qb’s are so much better at throwing the ball away when under pressure than college qb’s are. It’s like the game moves twice as slow for them. It’s amazing the difference in how many times most college qb’s force throws that should never be made.
@prisonersdilemma93916 күн бұрын
Why is the game video so poor and have so much screen glare? Is it to avoid copyright?
@prisonersdilemma93916 күн бұрын
2:10 I saw lots of hints of TN and TX getting pressure. It’s why Notre Dame will keep it close. OSU has an average, at best, o-line. I think they blitz OSU, and blitz often on Monday night. If Notre Dame can force one or two turnovers with their pressure, Notre Dame will have a good chance of winning.

The only way Ohio State loses to Texas was multiple turnovers and costly (10-15 yard) penalties. They had the costly penalties but only one turnover and that is why the game was close. Two turnovers and Texas wins. No penalties and no turnovers Ohio State wins 35-14, without the game ending heroics.

What’s the point of this vid. If you choose bad plays to breakdown or easy completions to criticize then every qb looks mid. Why not also show some good plays also? Will Howard had multiple great reads a tight window anticipation throws against Texas

The 0 holding calls since September for opposing offensive lines is a stat that further illustrates the outrageous dominance of the OSU D line and also proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is a thumb on the scales against them.
