in all fairness, at that point Metallica was just a speed metal band. "Kill'em All" was great but from that you couldn't have known "Ride the Lightning" and "Master of Puppets" was coming our way. If Metallica had kept sounding like Kill'em All, they would have been known to most metal fans but not a household name.
