This type of videos are very helpful for me because I need to learn medical terminology in English. I know all this things but only in Spanish. I’m a veterinarian in Mexico I leave in the border with USA and we have a lot of clients who only speak English. Thank you 🫰🏻

I was subscribed to your channel on my school account but after I graduated i havent seen some of your content in the last year. I went to a early college HS so i could get my associates done and go straight into my journey of being a vet. Im going to be honest i lost my motivation dueing my school years bc i was afraid of failure but i sell myself short bc i litteraly graduated with a associates in hs!!! not nany people can say they did that so my bigest regret is being afraid of failing when ive proven nyself otherwise. After seeing this vid in my fyp your videos really inspired me to want start going to veterinary school. I really hope i can finally start my dream of being a vet soon and my fear of failure doesnt hold me back as much as it did. if anyone is reading this wish me luck and i hope my gap year doesnt affect my acceptance into college 😅 (sorry if this was a long one)

I am currently preparing for NEET UG (a competitive exam in India to get into any medical degree, BVSc or MBBS or BDS, etc) and for the last 2 years I have been dreaming constantly of becoming a vet. But then I started watching 'a day in my life as a vet' kind of videos and I started looking more into everything including the salary and checking out veterinary hospitals and a bunch of other stuff. I slowly started to realize maybe veterinary isn't what I should take 🥲. I denied that feeling for quite a while because I love animals a lot, I have a pet bunny and I would do anything to keep him safe and healthy and I have always wanted to help animals. But the amount of work hours of veterinary medicine kinda scared me and then I saw a video where a vet said about how little holidays they get. My dream since childhood (for more than 13 years now) was to become a singer/songwriter, but I also want a stable career and I am interested in the medical field. I first decided I will do full-time work for a year or two after graduation and then go for part-time so I can work on my music career more. I already thought the full-time salary was low, when I saw the part-time salary, I knew I couldn't sustain both a good life and put money into my music career if I take veterinary. I thought about giving up music, but then I just looked at my guitar and started crying 😅. I knew I could never give up on music, so I decided to go for human medicine, although it could take longer, once I am done with all the studies, I can start working part-time and still get a good amount of salary to sustain a good life and put some into my music. It kinda hurt when I saw those little clips you included in the video of a puppy and a capybara, knowing that I am missing my opportunity to work with such cuties, but I just got another reason to choose human medicine when you said about seeing a cadaver. I would break down crying whenever I see a dead animal but I seriously don't feel a thing when I see a dead human... 😅 that sounds weird, I know. But I think I would be better off helping animals than treating them or doing surgery on them. I can fill my desire to help animals once I am able to do part-time work as a doctor by fostering pets or volunteering at shelters. Right now, I am going for MBBS. (And I agree with you, humans are disgusting 😂, that's why I am aiming to become a surgeon, I still have to deal with them but at least they are asleep when I am treating them and I will be covered from head to toe in scrubs 😜)

Hi 👋🏼 thank you for the information. I'm still unclear on the results the veterinarian emailed me. He said in the email his neutrophils were a bit high but no big deal. His results said 82% and it was 10,906. Is that high and a cause for concern?

Euthanasia is certainly a difficult subject and as a veterinarian, I am sure you will have very mixed emotions as you perform the procedure. For the times where an animal is so sick and every day is such agony, I view Euthanasia as a gift. It relieves the animal of its pain and allows it to pass with dignity and tranquility. I have had many pets in my life and each one of them has been very special to me. We Euthanized our last dog about three years ago and as sad as it made me, I knew she would no longer struggle. I did not want to remember her the way she was in her last days. I wanted to remember her as the vigorous, intelligent, kind and loving companion she was to my wife. Our vet was great and she held back tears as we watched our beloved dog pass. I thanked her after the procedure and I told her I was happy that she was no longer struggling. I miss her every day but I know she is in a better place.
