Sir, first of all, thank you so much for such a great tutorial. Can we host it on shared hosting with a sub-domain where our website is already hosted?
@CombiningMindsPKM Жыл бұрын
Yes you can, you just need to setup your DNS correctly

I prefer an approach to a web server hosted in internet, no tied to commercial vendor. Is it possible?
@CombiningMindsPKM Жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that you could do the same thing with any server :)

Thanks for this video, and how to filter and publish only selected pages?
@FarfaDub Жыл бұрын
If you want to publish only selected pages you have to navigate to each page you want to rexport and make them public (three dot, make public to export, or public:: true in the first bloc) Then when you export all public pages it will export all pages that have the property public:: true (if you havn't set "turn all page public" by default in the setting) 👍
@CombiningMindsPKM Жыл бұрын
You need to turn the setting in Settings > Editor> "All pages public when publishing" off, and then add the page-property `public:: true` to all the pages that you want to export. You can either input the text, or use the approach highlighted by @CyPhEnX44 below

thanks for your tutorial. But there is a problem I encountered is that the PDF files I have embedded in Logseq disappear when I publish them on the internet when other assets like JPG or Video still display. Is there any way to fix this problem?
@CombiningMindsPKM Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not. PDFs are not compatible in the browser version of Logseq :(

How to add more pages? Do I need to export the whole graph each time?
@CombiningMindsPKM Жыл бұрын
Yes, unfortunately that is one of the drawbacks of the simple approach

Is it possible to publish only pages but not journal?
@CombiningMindsPKM Жыл бұрын
You can, but you would then have to set each page with the property 'public:: true', which can be quite tedious.

Can you set a specific block to public but keep the page it's in as private? I was able to set a specific page as public and that was exported. But this page has block references. And these blocks are in pages I'd like to be private. Specifically I have a page of recipes that has block references to specific recipes that are in daily journal entry/pages, I'd prefer not to have personal journal entry/pages public or exported.
@CombiningMindsPKM Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not at this point in time. There is a chance that future versions may allow that though.
@glen1742 Жыл бұрын
@@CombiningMindsPKM ok thx! I think for now I'll just transfer the recipes from private pages to public ones. I really hope it becomes a feature because what I love most is the daily journals and not having to compartmentalize everything or think about structure right away.

thanks heaps actually have saved my but. Also (you may've gottent this question but) in the graph view/page graph the map or dots are never stationary, though I'm not good with code is there a way to make them stationary and stop them manualy? (I've searched around but haven't really gotten far in even knowing how to start)
@CombiningMindsPKM Жыл бұрын
Glad 🙏🏼 Unfortunately I haven't found a way. You can open your graph in Obsidian - that might help (although I haven't tried)

how to add changes to website (integration)

I've now set mine up to run from Github, but there's a little more complexity in that workflow that was beyond the scope of this video.
