Hi, I’m just starting my resin journey and I’m interested in this brand of vacuum pot, but I was wondering what kind of oil does it need to be filled with ?

When mixing warm, what temp is your resin before mixing both A & B together?

What kind of resin do you use and can you use it in the house? Have you tested it with the heat test to see if a coffee cup will stick to it?

Very artistic. Made it look simple. Good flow to tutorial. Would like to see it finished against a white surface to get the full effect. Would be gorgeous with some fairy lights around. Will look for more content.

just got my vacuum chamber and jumped right in too, same results as the start of this video. But prior to me getting the vacuum chamber, when talking to a guy who does all kinds of resin pours, he just told me you run the chamber and the bubbles will foam at the top and them all just burst and you're good, so I ran the thing as high as it could go and it just made a volcano of mess... I'm kind of missing my pressure pot right now, but I need to prevent the concaving I get that creates the sharp edges at the opening...

Nobody I've seen explain this has a high quality vacuum pump. If your pump gets to or exceeds -1 atmosphere it is going to make the resin boil. So go to like 26 mmhg

What I couldn't figure out is why would someone vac it BEFORE pouring into the final mold? I'm always reading vac it THEN pour it. That seems pointless as you will risk creating more bubbles as you go from the mix container to the final mold piece.

I was thinking of doing this with my large marble collection ...crushed glass in the stores are pretty expensive.....but it never thought of heating them first...glad I looked it up first....I wonder if boiling them in water would work the same way..,

They're beautiful! I read that you're supposed to spray with varnish prior to resin. Aldo, can these be used as hot plates, or can they not withstand the heat?

So my studio in my basement is cold. But I always use a space heater near my work area while mixing and curing. I'm currently making bookmarks and they are bendy after curing for 3 DAYS!!! I thought I wasn't mixing correctly but I am super careful about that. Why would they still be bendy?? My resin is relatively new, I usually use it all after only a week or 2 of purchasing. I have tried everything 😢 please help me!!!
