My first cruise was on Norwegian and then we took two Royal Caribbean cruises. Finally we tried Carnival this year. The atmosphere is like a 24/7 party and it was very fun. Food was great. Oh and it was by far the least expensive cruise I've had.

Regarding the paper boarding pass, that may be That Port, it's a smaller port and not fully updated. Other ports it's not mandatory to have printed boarding passes. Personally I always carry ours just in case they can't be accessed via digital wifi. Valor is one of the smallest, try a Spirit class, Pride, Miracle, Legend, it's our favorite class.

Will be cruising on the Valor in January. Our second and LAST Carnival cruise. Going to MSC from now on.
