I think the iFlight is a great bag, but if you're going to pay more for it, the torval V2 I think is the move. The V2 has been excellent so far. And if you have to hike or travel via train or other public transport to get to a spot, the V2 is significantly more comfortable with a heavy load. Thank you 🥂

Eachine still makes some cool drone products and FPV goggles, but I think they got cought in-between the sub $100 cheap drones and the $300-400 DJI mini and saw their market share and sales just erode. It is kinda tough to make a solid product in the $100-250 these days. I have a strong feeling it has more to do with terrifs and military customer demands driving more significant demand and profits when compared to consumer drones.

I was real tempted to Matty the chimney style tree dive, I was in a bit of a weird mood and had the "checkers or reckers" mentality so I was going to send it if it seemed even remotely possible, but I only got a few packs to grab some "sentimental footage", and then some ripping which got derailed on my last pack when the 🦅 showed up the say high.

Particular issue you're having? I've been having some issues with UFL connectors tearing off whoop boards, but I've had the same issue with DJI and with Walksnail

The first thing I did was swap the camera and antenna, the video was rough and range was limited out of the box. The $7 ORT v antenna is a great upgrade

Also, Flywoo customer service is generally pretty good, if something failed prematurely, you may get a replacement

In this video I was using the insta360 go2. Now I would recommend going with to go3 or go3s since they are slight improvements and don't add a ton of weight, but for 3.5 in drones, the way ad is negligible. The DJI action 2 is also really good on the skylite

Absolutely, flying what fits your style and budget is the name of the game. I just finished my first long range HDZero 4 inch and am looking forward to pushing its limits soon.

Only sorta though. If you will want to do stuff that you need HDZ for at all than you can get HDZ and get a walksnail VRX for that goggle for a fair bit less than getting DJI goggles.

Congrats, and tiny whoops are my absolute favorite moment. Especially with all the shenanigans going on with DJI and the FAA, tiny whoops feel like a breath of fresh air and a perfect stress-free way to rip.

​@Nathan_Adams Yeah, especially for me. I live in Montreal, and here is literally no place to fly. Airports and helipads everywhere. The law even forbids to fly in the parks, so tinywooping is the only way to have fun.

Yeah, it is a super challenging location for whatever reason. It's why I like doing my penetration and range testing there. If my gear works there, I feel like my gear will work anywhere.

Yeah, it is a crappy car rental business 😂 just kidding. It is a real challenge when DJI and HDZero use different metrics for their signal quality and in how you adjust their power/bandwidth. It used to be far easier to talk about when DJI used a similar set of units but now it is complicated. It also feels to me like DJI is using their "megahertz" unit for bandwidth as a blanket term and not in a textbook definition term relating to frequency.

Congratulations and thank you. It is kind of a weird time for FPV, there have never been more choices or less certainty with stuff like the DJI ban looming. The big advantage to HDZero goggles is that if everything else fails, you can always count on analog 😂

I could not agree more! For tree surfing, 03 is extremely tough to beat, with the exception of the 03 camera, DJI's durability is near bulletproof, and most important of all, fly the system that you enjoy. 🥂

Glad you are enjoying your Avata 2. The Mob 8 actually flys really similar to the Avata, but you can get into really tight spaces. I am still really torn with the 03 mobula. It is a great cruiser, and everything I said in there is still 100% correct, the one thing that really lacks is the ability to do aggressive freestyle and diving. With diving, the yaw wash out at the bottom of a dive is still so rough. I think if you were to lightweight the '03 with the flywoo kit, you probably could get a lot of that performance back. But that does mean you're making an exposed air unit less durable.

I think Walksnail is a great balance between both systems. Great range and penetration, but not quite as good as 03, and great latency and flexibility for 1s applications like HDZero, but not the lowest latency or best implementation of analog compatibility. There is always a trade off, but I agree with you the balance of the Avatar/Walksnail system is excellent 👍. If I had to pick only one system, it would probably be WS

@@ronniequalls7217 it is their technology side that I am not sure will catch DJI, especially with 04 on the horizon that is a substantial step from 03, which was a substantial step up from the original FPV system that shares a lot of similarities to the current Walksnail hardware. I am also a little concerned about long term support for the goggles since it seems they have already moved on completely from the V1 goggles for the goggles x.

@@ronniequalls7217 analog is always awesome. There is a simplicity that I love, no mucking around with firmwares and compatibility.

I will record and post a run on auto. I did not include it in the video because it looked basically Identical to the performance on channel 1 at 40mhz.

Bradley is an awesome guy and that build is super cool. If he cuts more of those, I told him to let me know because I want to build one!

It is shocking how much the RF interference can change and effect the video systems. If you dont have an issue, leaving it in auto is the easiest and the performance is generally excellent. If you are flying longer range or you have a spot that has alot of wifi (which does channel hopping), finding the right channel can get you more consistentcy in your signal, atleast that has been my experience.

The goggles 2 work well with the Mavic 3 series. I have done some flying with the goggles, but I tend to prefer using the RCN1 (the regular remote) and an iPad mini because I have more access to the camera control settings and can see the top down map along with the video feed. I will recommend that you bring a friend/spotter with you the first time you fly with them because it is nice to have someone watching your back while you get comfortable being in public with zero visual situational awareness.

I am still loving the pocket, it is holding up well to both normal use and my son's (a toddler) love of the bright green/yellow. It is a tough little radio and the gimbals are still surprising to me. If they made a mini mini AG01 I think that may make it very close to my favorite radio!

Especially starting out that seems to be a good plan. Eventually having multiple systems isn't a bad idea depending on what you get into when it comes to flying FPV. If DJI had small whoop vtxs or HDZero offered a two way transmission/retransmission system, then I feel it could be the "best" system. Avatar is currently in the middle and offers some advantages of both, but is not the best at any one thing.

@@El_Muffy Avatar is a system that is really similar to the Vista from DJI. It is made by Caddx and has a decent amount of options for VTX and cameras. Since I like to use a product for 6+ months before making a review and have not purchased a set of goggles and vtxs for myself, I have not felt comfortable making a review video. I have flown the system a bunch, borrowing friends goggles and quads, so I feel comfortable saying it is a good middle ground and worth considering.

If you just want to gently cruise around and get footage, the Mob 8 is great. The one downside to going with the run cam nano version is there is no onboard recording, so if you're looking to get good video, your left only with the DVR on the goggles which is okay. You can always upgrade later to the 03 version if you want higher quality video. If you're looking to fly more freestyle, flip, spins dives, etc... It is probably one of your better small drone options for DJI. Because of the weight, even with the smaller air unit, it can be a challenge to fly indoors because of the power/speed needed to compensate for the heavier drone. This is pretty much why analog is king when it comes to indoor flying, followed by Avatar HD/walksnail and HDZero. For backyard freestyle, depending on the size of your backyard, with DJI, three or three and a half inch seems to be the Goldilocks size. They are small enough and light enough to be fun in a smaller environment, quiet enough not to disturb too many people, but fast enough really to tear it up outside and deal with a little wind.

I have not personally tried them, but they do have DVR built in, and the price I'm not sure you can really beat it. I would recommend checking out the makerfire version since it is slightly cheaper right now and seems to be a very similar if not identical goggle. With base analog goggles, especially ones included with ready to fly drone kits, there is a lot of white labeling of generic goggles.

To the best of my knowledge mostly having back to back tested, the resolution does not seem to matter, it is just what is recorded on the Air Unit and then a 1080 live feed is broadcast to the Goggles. I tried all the resolutions at 120fps on Goggles V2 and 100fps on Goggles 2 and I could not see a different flying or when doing the flashlight bench test that Bardwell has used.

I really like the 3.5 inch size for myself and beginners because they are quieter and allow you to fly in places that may not really work with a bigger drone. Even though it would seem less durable because thinner carbon, smaller motors, etc, but they are so much lighter and don't crash as hard. Eventually you may end up with both probably, but 3.5 is my suggestion
