i think the tudor corner is not going to crack 300$ even 4 years after retirement.

the bookshop was a horrible investment in germany. it is currently selling for 150EUR. the modulars tanked since the corner garage.

This is a rich rich rich game investing in these. Unless you are selling face to face, i would avoid these and big sets. I owned and sold the Brickbank. I bought for personal use but when the price shot to triple i paid for it, i had to sell. After fees and SHIPPING i lost bout $80 and that was during Covid. Now shipping is higher and my huge sets cost $30 plus to ship and no one wants to pay. Keep the sets small to invest.

Never got into modulars...price and size and lack of knowledge has kept me out. Maybe one day I'll try it...this could be the day lol. GWPs are always a fun prize. I hope break the mold and come out with an adult exotic dancing aka strip club, the indoor gun range, and the local jail/prison. GWP drug and homeless alley lol kidding guys

The crazy/silly castle theme was the nexo Knights. My kids and enjoyed the theme and it was done faster than Chima. I think the Dreamzzz is doing well enough to continue or they are partnered on Netflix with the show and they have to continue the line with the agreement with them.

Ill probably pickup 3 as I did for the Endurance but mostly for the GWP but I can afford to hold onto it. It will be a long hold and like the endurance, I will keep it as a set

Im not we see online sales after the new year. My Walmart is clearanced on several themes and set to make space for the new stuff. The sales are going to be in stores so each store clearance will be unique. I picked a few SW mechs at $11. Typically at my Walmart once it has a price sticker it is not going lower. I’m new to the investing in Lego idea. I like the video content. What I never see on YT is videos talking about the number of units recently sold. It’s always the EBay buy it now price. That price is just a hope for value until someone buys it. Seeing that the modular sets already built are only at $811 per your video makes me think someone is taking a massive hit, not gain. Any chance of seeing a video of hit sets that are currently selling?

I’m gonna buy one or two off the rip and throwing them back onto eBay to turn a quick profit from the modular/GWP.

One thing you aren’t thinking about is the additional money back you get this time of year from apps like Ibotta. For example the Hogwarts boathouse is on sale for like $30 at target and with Ibotta you get an additional $9.50 back. So that’s nearly 50% off. And there are a lot of sets with cash back presently on Ibotta.

People are saying it came out too late? I wonder if there will be any nostalgia for the source material at some point? I would like to have seen exclusive and short shelf life to have any real interest. I would rather spend less money to make $20. This is one where I would have to get at about $70 or less and then go to about $120 or more in retirement to make it worth it. I do see something there and I think roverboy has a point I just don't have the money to take the risk on it. I may pick up one if I can get a super deal at some point though.

They'll cut production for sure, but they can ramp it up really quickly too. Lego restock is about a 3 week turnaround, other companies are 3 months. Look a the sudden landslide of Phantom Menace Brickheadz stock.

Keep a look out for Walmart in store clearance. I picked up 25 Lambo's @ $7 ea. Its a shame that I couldn't of grabbed more as they had a lot more (left my credit card at home) so I had to use what cash I had on hand.

I found the mechs at Walmart for $11, but I didn't pick any up for that price. Let me know if you think that was a missed opportunity in any case I'm ok with my decision I was saving my reserve cash for todays sales at Target. I intended on purchasing 3-6 sets 43277 Villains Icons today when I got to work, but I missed out on my opportunity, but I did however pick up the invisible hand and a few copies of the dungeon and dragons minifigures. Also A couple weeks back Target had the Villains Icon set for around $63 and I picked up 3 at that price and I wish I picked up many more. Sucks to suck I guess.

I picked up one Tantive IV from Target this morning for $64. While I was at Sam's (Castle Rock, CO) finishing up XMAS shopping, I picked up an HP Mandrake plant on clearance for $26.42. If I had not had not just spent a small fortune on my wife, I would have picked up a few more. I agree that a lot of the HP products do not get me excited about reselling - but this is a pretty iconic movie character.

I dont really understand your wishy washiness on Harry Potter sets. You say they'll be remade until the end of time, which is factual, but are somehow willing to invest in that at the right price of $100 for a $40 profit, but arent willing to go ham on the cody helmet for a potential $30 profit the way you did for the other 3-4 past star wars helmets. Cody is a character helmet that likely wont get remade for 20 years if ever again. There's so much that can be done to color swap cody's helmet into a regular p1 clone helmet, let alone a clone pilot helmet or some other character's the same way for Rex's. Please elaborate

the nostalgia sets seem to perform very poorly (see galaxy explorer). the next in line is the eldorado fortress. if that one also doesn‘t perform, then there is no way i would consider the blacktron renegade.

I think youll see a rise at 1st with nostalgia but ultimately itll hurt both sets. Typically i see remakes do ok and the og loses some steam. If you arent a purist type of collector/fan why would you spend so much for an original copy? Its like having Action Comics #1. There are reprints but they are only worth a fraction of the original and up to the buyer to determine if its worth it to them.

I pretty much had all these sets growing up as a kid. The cool thing was they were darker cooler than the original blue and gray and there wasn’t that many legs to choose from back then so this was definitely the cool hot new theme

Blacktron 1 was pretty rare and pretty short lived replaced with blacktron 2 There was no Amazon - local store inventory aka Kmart was where mom shopped so you got what they had available. You couldn’t necessarily just go to a store and get the lego set you want like today either unless you made a special trip to an actual toy store. Then there was Lego mail/phone orders through the catalog. My parents never bought from the catalog since there were never really sales just gwp.

I'm sorry but your pricing is wacked. Your not taking account that almost all these ebay prices include shipping. It about $4-4.50 to ship a single figure. So when you see a crappyfigure selling for 7 dollars, its actually only a $2.50- $3.50 figure.
