Looks like a good product, Doubt I would use it on my cars though. Herhaps heavier applications such as 4WD's would get more use though.

Nice vid. Love a comparison with Mirch Grime off. It's my go to tyre cleaner. The wash looks good, nice to have a lower pH local made car wash I can get at a retail store. Been using the gyeon restart which is good. Keen to give them both a try.

Thank you Jackson, it's a pretty unique formula we created here in wanting to make something very easy to use, long-lasting, gives a noticeable level of depth and shine and importantly it's suitable for easy protection in the diverse local conditions we have here in Oz. I'm glad to hear you enjoy using it and took notice of the shine that next day once cured too! Yes, we found it's a great topper for professionally coated cars, which we tested quite extensively before stating that on the bottle, and still continues to be some 4+ years on since we released this one. We are not ones for claims on anything we have that is not genuinely tested and true. We have the in-house chemist and detailing team working on a new updated version currently too, which always takes a good amount of time to develop and formulate till we are happy to bottle and release. It's still a little while off but there are some pretty nice upgrades in the works. :) - Dan PS - It's also good on PPF , with a few of the modern cars we have that use different brand films giving fantastic results and professional installers we know have been using it as their product of choice for this too.

NV is my fav. I bought new tyres, gave them a good clean, applied. Now I just rinse with a tyre cleaner every couple washes and apply NV again and it holds up until the next time. They constantly look dark and new. Key is to hit them hard when new initially and all you have to do is reapply every month or so.

Agreed, I absolutely love pure evo. When it came out I thought it really differentiated itself from the rest of the market. I have it with cancoat topping it. I got compliments the first day I took it out and get them from all ages. Amazing on colors. I still prefer a more neutral gloss coating on monochrome but pure is epic imo. I’m going on my third year of the coating and I reapply can coat once a year with cure when I feel like the extra cherry on top. I want to try the quick Detailer as soon as possible.

Cool video. I totally expected NV to win. I’d never heard of platinum potions, here in the US. I use the Adams on non coated cars. Here the price is great and on non coated cars it’s a big jump in looks. On my personal vehicle I use Gyeon pure topped with can coat once a year and cure every few months. I like NV but it’s expensive here.

Platinum Potions are available in the U.S through the same distributor that sells NV I think. But maybe they just sell their interior air fresheners and not the exterior chemicals. Both make some great products though

Not the only one that’s been disappointed with Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer. I used this on our brand new Subaru XV which has mountains of plastic trim. Even if prepped properly, I could barely see any difference. What is the longevity like on the Platinum Potions ? Does it get ugly steaks in the rains once it starts to wear off ?
@EvolvedDetails
@EvolvedDetails Ай бұрын
Glad it wasn't just me then. The platinum potions didn't really see any rain for the month or so it was noticeable on the car. I can't remember if it got streaks last time i used it though sorry
@PlatinumPotions
@PlatinumPotions Ай бұрын
Hey mate, zero streaking reported from customers all over Australia, just use as directed and you shouldnt have any problems (pending your trims arent damaged by UV or other products prior), longevity varies hugely.... On our DD's exposed to the elements 24/7 (rain, hail, shine, rain & left to dry under sun), we get about 3-5 weeks, our weekend driven & garaged cars, in excess of 3 months (again this is based in trims in good condition). The photo on our website for Trim Coat + shows a good trim, 7years old (weekend driven) and a 50/50 shot of the visual difference, its an OEM+ finish 😄😄

Keep in mind these are just simple silicone dressings that will wear off after a few washes.
@EvolvedDetails
@EvolvedDetails Ай бұрын
Yeah exactly, but they should last those few washes and actually darken the plastics in that time. I will be coating all the plastics on the van soon but before doing so I thought I'd test out these two. Kind of like a tyre dressing or quick detailer
@PlatinumPotions
@PlatinumPotions Ай бұрын
The chemical composition for Trim Coat + is far from just an off the shelf silicone dressing, its an actual coating (not a dedicated ceramic coating but a coating and not a dressing) & its being torture tested on ATV's & dune buggys exposed to salt, mud & sand in UAE, US and Australia and its proving to be very durable for what it is (easy to use, small amount required, no streaking etc) 😄😄
