Never got into a street fight, but trained for years. Loved dropping the cocky tough guys with one body shot. My favorite was for a right hander that was freighttraining with the haymaker, was a slip and right hook to the liver. They suddenly didn't want to fight anymore, or they were more respectful. My second was the kidney shot. Self defense I'd choose different techniques than this guy is showing. But it's all completely situational.

When hammers and other blunt based weapons account for more homicides than all the rifles in the US. It's hammer time. Do I think Clint has a hammer between his mattress? At home probably something that goes bang. While traveling and staying in places where he's not allowed to carry? I'd bet he has a hammer and a make shift flame thrower also within reach. Also I think this video is great advice for everyone globally. Simple and universal.

Memorize how to use your jumpers - Red to Dead, Red to Good, Black to Good, Black to Dead METAL. Also know where your specific car needs to be jumped from. Try to jump a BMW using the battery in the trunk, not the jump spot under the hood and you will fry your FRM module. Your vehicle will run but no power windows, turn signals etc.

I wouldn’t be worried about adding any power to that job whatsoever, it’s a range finder, a set up punch and one to make your opponent move. If you jab a little higher up than the chin however it’s really good at blocking the view of your opponent. A little step back onto your back leg and push forward into that cross I’ll increase the power a lot. Your right that power will come from that snap reflex from the hips but you don’t need to twist the front foot. Keep it on the floor. Keep balance. Yep don’t cross the legs. And add head movement with the punches, not much, just enough to get off centre. And yeah Lee the space, let them make the mistake of walking into your punches. Couple of little faints should through them off your plans or lure them into a false sense of security, ultimately making a mistake. If you want a good example of this I suggest watch the knock out of Ngannou by AJ. Once you have made your move don’t forget to protect yourself, guard straight back, move off centre and move around laterally your opponent. The best option in a street fight at this point is to now make a quick exit, if not run away, you don’t want to be dealing with knives, guns or friends. And realistically try and avoid a steer fight wherever possible, there’s no winners, expect injury.

The principle of this kick is exactly the same as the Shotokan Karate maegeri (either snap or thrust). We add one or two refinements to the kick shown here, but I teach this kick to my students using the same terminology I.e. knee up first then flip the lower leg straight into the target. I liken it to the penetrating power of the Karate lunge punch (oitsuke) which uses forward momentive force in addition to the spear like penetration of the target. When used appropriately, this kick is devastating.

Leaning back too much, comes up on heel during chambering [which he does not really do], extraneous hand movement throughout, poor stability after impact. And all way too slow. He's a talker, not a kicker.

Must suck to be so insecure that you become these two dudes. Viewers, for god sake focus on a good education, a good job, and building community. This is no way to spend your precious time. Don't be the guy who spends his life trying to make up for that fight you lost in the 6th grade.
@jasblick998416 күн бұрын
When I learned snap kicks and thrust kicks 30 plus years ago there was a methodology that mirrored this. The way we were taught was where the knee aims, the kick goes. Not to be sloppy and swing the foot, but rather to imagine a stick of dynamite under your heel. The dynamite explodes, driving the heel off of the immovable force that is the earth. Since the earth doesn't move, your heel and toes drive your knee in the direction of the target. When the knee was aimed at the target, the foot continued forward to the target. Just before impact, the hips rocked forward to add extension and power to the kick. The goal wasn't to just kick a person. It was to kick through the person. Shattering everything in the path of the foot. Usually it was a method of either crushing the gut/solar plexus, or shatter the pelvic bone. It was meant for combat or extreme self defense situations only. We did other kicks for knees, shins, feet etc.

a lot of great details here good to see different ways of thinking and perspectives from people who understand fighting and have solid technique, yes its simple and a "beginner technique" but there is alot of details to master it. the naysayers are clueless kids who watch too many movies and mcdojos.
