I’ve been boxing on and off for many years among other disciplines. His explanation was very good. Yes, it takes this long even longer to explain a correct jab cross 1-2 combo. I would be willing to bet that unless you’ve stepped into a boxing gym, 90% of the trash talkers in the comments won’t throw any of these punches correctly. I always see so called tough guys throwing the jab wrong, and definitely throwing the cross with nothing behind it. 🤦🏾♂️

0:50 I was a bouncer for about 8yrs in some rather tough clubs. Biker bars and a few places with a lot of wannabe hip-hop ----bags. One thing I learned very early on was that trying to intimidate someone seldom works unless you've already mentally decided that if X decision point is reached, it's on. There's something about the human subconscious that seems to be able to project that mindset change in some perceptible way, and most humans can pick up on that. Even blustery, angry drunks and legit tough dudes could sense that a Rubicon was about to be passed, and most backed off. Being unfailingly polite, but also having already mentally decided on the specific sequence of physical events to follow was eerily effective in achieving compliance. Neat stuff.
@krishamilton445814 күн бұрын
Definitely im not a big guy but worked doors at a few clubs and some inside but prefer the doors if you know in your mind that you've already committed if things go a certain way to go hands on it does seem to give off that vibe enough to deter most cause I've had a couple times were I thought talking would be enough and only mentally went that far and was always a little more effort to get the point across

I love how he covers the rage finder method. I've known many martial artist who possess an arsenal of techniques and strikes, but struggle to land any effective strikes on a foe. But, like what he covered w/ the range finder. This helps you to gauge distance... Where your lead hand or jab hand can't reach, your back hand can cover an extra foot of distance when you engage your hips and pivot your back foot.

Being “squared up” also allows you to use both hands a bit more equally, though it goes give him more of a target. He likes the 1-2. There are other options to consider like opening that palm after jab to blind him a bit more from seeing that Cross. That jab can also push or pin. If in the street a Biugee finger strike to eye(s) is potentially faster than a jab and still set ups the Cross.

Its marketing ultimately to make money off people who dont know any better and want a short cut. This guy didnt take short cuts to become what he is, he put himself through intense training and earned it. Which is the only way to get it. If someone says "I'm seeing red" I'm not taking it seriously. Also if you finish with a straight right hand it shifts your body off to your left witch means it would be a lot more natural to roll to your right after finishing with a right hand. Also If you move to your left after a right hand not only is it more of an awkward movement but you are usually going to be moving toward your opponents power hand rather than away from it.
@BWater-yq3jx18 күн бұрын
Tbf, most of what he said and did was solid. In fact, when he focused on the footwork at the end, it was correct. It was only when he briefly demo'd lateral movement after the cross that he went left, and that was indeed technically incorrect because he brought his feet together. Which is another 'vulnerable' position you want to avoid.
@PoliticallyInsensitive18 күн бұрын

He’s spot on with it it. After throwing the L jab (for orthodox) as you go to throw the straight right keep your chin tucked and retract your left back to a defensive position to block or deflect a potential incoming counter right. As a woman who has been training in Boxing for sometime, I am very aware of the power that comes from the body rather than the shoulder. Could easily knock someone's block off and learning how to do it right is the most important thing. Train so you do it naturally and your muscle memory will take over when it's needed and you won't even think about it. One tip is to get up on your toes like you have a thumb tack on the bottom of your foot, because that helps to deliver the power and can get you out of harms way very quickly.

Already done if anyone tries it on me like May28th this year😅,guy found out the hard way not to storm into my face. He missed I did a sequence and in about 2 seconds I had his back hooks in,flat and rear naked choke. He yelled he had enough. I let him go, someone already called police and they asked me to show them my fists and told them Never hit him, and he picked up simple assault charge. Also right in front off my dash cammera.😅 I wore my Gracie's shirt as well but I guess he wanted to find out the hard way. Anyway flashing fast 1-2 combo head,body or head head will end most people if timed right,who also are unskilled or even skilled to a degree. It works,I used it many times.

But if that were me, I would have told the police "you don't need to see my fists. I totally hit that guy"
@Patriotx-gx4ce3 күн бұрын
@vladydaddy9116 They ask that to see if stories match. Who punched who. In order to prove my point I showed him my fists. They expect to see blood,swelling etc which is a dumb stuff since hitting somone does not always result in your hands being injured but others guys face😅. Despite him not having any facial injuries dumb cop still asked me that question meaning other guy lied that I hit him.

Farting can defuse a street fight with laughter or disgust.

Let's take a step back from using a human trebuchet striking power to avoid involuntary manslaughter.

That's all fine and Danny, but that only works with people who can't fight and those who get mad and throw haymakers.

The 1-2 doesn’t work on skilled opponents. Better tell literally every boxing gym in the world they are doing it wrong.

That’s the longest explanation of a simple strike combo. Definitely some details to know but wow that’s got some serious meat in that explanation. Still thanks

... step with the hit ... foot work! ... power is generated from the ground up... opponent is never going to stand still... breath to the movement ... then move out of range... basic basics ... that chicken coop is legit... want one, too!

Haha join the fist fight. "When the punches are too fast to see, the kills take too long to register" -you gon act like you said this too?

So read the comments first cuz I saw a funny one. Then see an absurd number of people upset by how “long” this video was to explain how to properly throw 2 punches, the most important 2 punches anyone needs, and yet these people I guarantee will attempt to throw these and look like a flailing child 😂 infantry marine corps here. Good sht bro

There is no amount of combat experience or military accolades that will change the fact that this dude is a complete dork.

This is like he’s watched too many KZbin fight instructor videos, I doubt he’s been in many fist fights tbh

Seriously? Street fights? As a mature adult? I’m definitely in the business of knowing how to defend myself and others. You know what I’ve learned? You want to know what wins the fight 100% of the time? Don’t be there in the first place.

The real question is, why are you involved in so many street fights? You might want to reflect on that, Delta or not
