Its trying to take advantage of the fact that mostly men are visual creatures to entice awe in God instead of relying on the Holy spirit. The icons are faining that but at the same time.lead the masses into the danger of idolatry The thing the Church exists to draw peopleout of.

I struggle to sympathize with this whatsoever. I understand that God gave up his son for us, as a father myself, I could never, but does that mean all the priests of God should put themselves through this? It's not even about a meaning by the point this man is at. The look in his eyes says it all. He has next to NOTHING that gives him true joy, not the elation of having one's own child, the love of a woman, nothing. I believe in God, I am not well versed in the Bible, but I do talk to him and pray often, but I simply do not understand why on earth this man or any man would deprive himself of the greatest happiness a man could have in finding a woman to love and a child to raise.

Jesus was perfect in his love for others and he never once lied to to someone by telling them their sinful lifestyle was ok. He was literally crucified precisely BECAUSE he told people the truths about themselves and about God they did not want to hear or accept.

Salvation is Him! If you do not seek Him you do not find salvation...no matter how " sinless" you think you are becomeing... Only He can make sin less, only He can make you understand, ALL.BY.HE'S. WILL...only by His love and from your love of Him you will will take the right steps...but you can't have a relationship with someone if you don't even try to know them.

This story I believe isn’t accurate or true. where in the Bible it mention about the thieves meeting Jesus before being crucified? The thief was saved by faith alone.. and wasn’t in purgatory or had to do any works.. just by believing in Christ.

Here is an authentic man in his vocation. He is so gentle humble. To die to self like Jesus said is to give up fleshly things. To battle natural functions. This lovely soul is doing that with the suffering of Christ in mind. unlike the generations of those who didn't want to control themselves. You can see how hurt he is because of the damage they have caused. The reproach they have brought to Jesus. My heart goes out to him. Everyone is talking about who leaves home to go to work when they dont realize that the devils first move was to get the man out of the house. Once upon a time, both parents were "home" or at least the boys would often work with rheir fathers and same for the girls. Now phones, TVs, AI, teachers and daycare workers raise our children. And very little of that carries with any sense of community let alone Body of Christ. We work hard to provide for families we never get to see. Its not supposed to to be this way but I think thats why He went to ro the cross for us. Thank you King Jesus.
