And this is why I’m an inquirer in the Eastern Orthodox Church and soon to be a catechumen!! The way they profess the faith is true Christianity!! ☦️❤️ Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner 🧎➡️

What kept you from away from the Catholic Church, especially the Eastern ones (who are more similar to orthodoxy)? Just asking because I’m doing research on both the Catholic and Orthodox churches. I’m praying the Holy Spirit lands me in the truth.🙏🏽

@MrBigChops I’ve always respected Catholicism and I’ve been to masses when I was younger because one of my best friends is Catholic, Latin specifically. As I’ve gradually learned about Eastern Orthodoxy I learned about the Eastern Catholics as well. Honestly through prayer and hearing Orthodox priests and monks talk about the faith I resonated more with Eastern Orthodoxy. I truly believe if I’m going to grow in Christ and grow my relationship with him to the best of my ability it’s through Eastern Orthodoxy. If someone wants to start debating about the papacy, the Filioque, etc. I’m going to leave that to the Catholic and Orthodox theologians. I hope I don’t disappoint any Catholics because I don’t have any bad blood with them at all 🙏🏻 I hope I kind of answered your question. At the end of the day I was stuck in this very Western, United States Christianity that was getting me nowhere and giving me more questions that couldn’t be answered. Pray about it and go attend Divine Liturgies and Masses. Talk to the priests about what’s on your mind. God won’t abandon you just like He hasn’t abandoned His church for nearly 2000 years now

@ • Absolutely brother. I sincerely appreciate the thorough response. There’s barely any Orthodox Churches in my state, but I definitely resonate with the Orthodox Church. I haven’t had the opportunity to attend Divine Liturgy yet, but I’ve emailed the two Orthodox churches closest to me last week. I’m hoping I can attend this week. I attended a Sunday Mass this weekend. Still studying and praying. I can definitely identify somewhat better with the Eastern Church (whether EO or Catholic). I just want to be thorough before making this big decision and as unbiased in my studies as possible. How long do Catechism classes take before they let you become officially Orthodox? I can’t wait to be able to fully partake in the sacraments, whichever church the Holy Spirit leads me to. Blessings

@@MrBigChops From what I heard it depends on the Priest but Catechism is mostly 6-12 months. I'll start at the start of the new year when the classes start again. Just don't get discouraged because there is alot of bitterness between everyone and that's what bothered me the most from exploring my faith more and more and exploring the Church

Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I still struggle with the passions, but not as much as before. I feel I am better than I was before and have noticed a change in me because of my Eastern Orthodox faith! I will continue to move in the direction of the Lord Jesus Christ for his Glory! Thank God! Glory to God! In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit! Amen! 💜🕊️☦️

Hell is not the abscence of God in Orthodoxy. I heard this mentioned at the beginning of the video that the interviewer said that hell is the absence of God. There is a different Ontology in Orthodoxy compared to the rest of Christianity as there is the Essence and Energy distinction. So the people in "Hell" experience the Uncreated Energies of God as something unpleasant according to the state of their soul and likewise the people in Paradise experience the Energies as something pleasant. Imagine someone who loves you so much they won't leave you but you hate that person, if they were standing next to you all the time it would be at the very least unpleasant.

Father is correct,the non Orthodox Church,is a carnal false church.If the Protestantism were really "protesting" the heretical Roman Church,they should of embraced Orthodoxy,but the real agenda,was we want make our "own" Church. May God have mercy on us all.

The question of Marcus personally ordering Christian persecution is debated. There are other reports of him doing messed up stuff that doesn’t fit with the ascetic guy we see in Meditations. That being said, maybe he did act sinfully and maybe he did do all these bad things.
@MrBigChops12 күн бұрын
His reign included some notable persecutions of Christians, though he was not particularly known for instigating widespread or targeted persecution against them. Marcus Aurelius, faced a period of instability marked by wars, natural disasters, and plagues, which led to increased public anxiety. Christians, who were already marginalized and viewed as outsiders due to their refusal to participate in Roman religious practices, were sometimes scapegoated for these troubles. Under Marcus Aurelius, local officials often had autonomy in enforcing religious conformity, and some used this authority to target Christians. This led to sporadic and localized persecutions rather than a systematic empire-wide policy. One of the most documented cases involved the martyrdom of Polycarp, the bishop of Smyrna, and the martyrs of Lyon in Gaul around 177 AD. These incidents show how some Roman officials viewed Christianity as a threat to Roman unity and traditional values, particularly during times of crisis Aurelius’s writings in Meditations reflect his Stoic beliefs and criticisms of Christians, whom he saw as stubborn in their refusal to conform. However, he did not issue direct edicts against Christianity. His era’s persecution of Christians was more reflective of the broader cultural and religious tensions of the Roman Empire than of his specific policies.

Ahh yes so that is why in the book of Enoch the angels choose 10,000 BC unwashed unshaven 🐱 over eternity with God because it’s so good 😮 And that’s why God created Eve for Adam because it just being in the presence of God wasn’t enough for him😮

@@ChristianDinoBot Genesis is though, also the writer has a point God wasn't enough for Adam in the the garden, and Adam in the garden was closer to God than anyone today, the Orthodox heaven is more about making sure the Orthodox god's ego is stroked rather than man experiencing joy, or pleasure, if Orthodoxy is true then Jesus died so man may serve him not out out of love.
