Big fan of log houses but...after looking into it. I think the half log, 2x6 wall and TnG on interior is the best because of the wiring on exterior walls. But both are beautiful.

Be careful about the word love & what you say you love , because love will creep up & bite you & you might think I'm crazy but we as humans do not know what love is this will turn into idolatry . What ever your giving your time energy & emotions to is idolatry . this worship belongs to GOD . not material items .

LOVE the tall ceilings throughout and love the five-panel doors! Great fireplace, rock steps up to the dog door, and big windows and exterior window trim, that massive front porch is amazing, love the overall beefy construction feel. On the other hand, barn doors are too trendy and are heading out of style, the area above the stove is so plain-would like some basic but detailed tiling here. Don’t like a sink in the island next to where people sit. I’ve never had a “dummy door” under the kitchen sink-not sure why he sees those so often, Don’t like that too-small sink right next to the fridge. Also, don’t like the fridge right where another window could be-it looks out of place between the two windows (and right next to the sink), the TV seems off in the corner away from the seating (but happy it’s not above the fireplace!), not a fan of the door to the Master directly off the great room; in a garage, it’s best to put drains under where cars will be parked. With one drain in the center, dirty water will be draining via the walk path. Not a fan of the basement stairs hole right in the middle of the house-this is a shame and my least favorite part. Now, is this house nicer than mine? YES! But my critiques are things I’ve either fixed or have never had. Thanks for sharing!!!

These homes look amazing when they’re brand new or almost brand new , as we know all exterior wood does gray overtime with the sun, so will let home look just as nice when it’s gray just saying

I was in love with the rustic lodge plan until I saw this home. Now, nothing else compares. This for me is perfection. The only cosmetic variances I would make is on the color of the exterior stone and interior tile and countertops. I prefer darker, richer tones over the light grey, but that's just a personal preference. I would also choose a rustic timber mantle above the fireplace and have a walkout basement to flood the lower level with light. We own a log home with a south facing walk out basement and it's a really nice feature. This is so incredibly beautiful and well designed. I really like the stairwell situated in between the great room and the kitchen/dining area. It provides a visual separation and is a beautiful piece of art in itself. Although I love my current home, this is the home that dreams are made of. Great choices Zach!!

As a person who use to clean these homes thank you for putting those removable shower heads in the showers ! I have been in many that had showers that could fit 10! People and no removable shower head. Awesome homes
