Backwards hand beat personal nit picking on Jorell’s tattoo, which I’d LOVE to have on me any day. Felt like honestly, the judges were trying to keep the OG vs New Guns balance not so one sided. That said, Jorell never should have made it past B&W realism period. But he did and he delivered on this tattoo to well to be in the bottom three let alone eliminated. That tattoo he did this week was fire! Could it have been better? Yes. I’d like the horse’s front legs fully out there. But damn, it still looks awesome!

Jorel's were a mix of abstract... and looks nicer than the black n grey wrong hand... aesthetically nicer... I thought it wasn't a mistake, it was intentional for a limited time "challenge". I though it was artistically well-thought well-composed piece.

In the earlier ink master seasons a backward hands/arm was an automatic lose pack your bags matter. The judges got it wrong here

I really hope there isn't that much backlash for this elimination. I agree it's a really hard elimination. I do agree with the choice ultimately but I know how hard it was for the judges to make that choice. I just wish people aren't up in arms over it. I've really loved the season thusfar

I'm pausing and looking at hand...is the top finger the index finger ? And the bottom finger the pinky finger ? Is that it ? I've been staring at this for 10 minutes and moving my hands how I think katana is being held. It's hard to see because I think hand is as it should be like Trevor said..that it's reaching with right hand to pull it out....but then I keep watching and I'm like...wait is it backwards....so confused. Even without the hand...I don't think tattoo is that good. At least the mask line...that's where you lose me. And DJ knew they were gonna save Trevor so he voted like he "couldn't" overlook that. B*tch please you ain't fooling no one.

I am glad they eliminated the right tattoo. I was afraid they would eliminate Tevor's tattoos and become a mistake that most wouldn't see right away. In the end, the Tevor tattoo is so beautiful that it hind away the mistakes it is the last thing you should look at sure 1 out of 100 will see the backward hand but still a good-looking tattoo and you tell what it is. I would still wear the Tevor tattoo even though the hand is backward. Where Jorels is just one giant illegible color blob I would hate to have that tattoo I would tell people that it is just hard to read and ugly I don't want to spend any time looking at that mess. I like Jorel personally but yeah this tattoo isn't it.

I love all of you judges but with that being said I have to let It out that I feel OG' VS YOUNG GUNS is turning out to be one sided and impartial towards the OG's.

There’s so much that’s wrong with Kat’s tattoo that I’m genuinely surprised the judges didn’t pick up on or at least mention. The sword is in the wrong position. That mask is completely split, like the samurai already sliced all the way through it if the blade is only a third through the mask, I think you would’ve sold that better compositionally if the blade was actually angled down more and passed the bottom of the mask or just at the bottom of the mask was also too short to be a katana. At best a wakizashi. The position of the arms is wrong for the way a samurai would swing a sword. The arms would be extended and out. Here the back left arm is pulled back like he was pulling back and slicing, but that’s not the feeling I get from the way that sword is going through the mask. It’s obviously swinging down and cutting it in half not pulling back and slicing. Also compositionally I think it was too much to try and squeeze into that area it looks compressed to me. It may look different in person. I don’t know. I’m been a fan of her stuff in previous weeks. I’ve enjoyed all of her tattoos, even the ones that she wasn’t that big on, but this one I was not fan of.
