This is a perfect example of how to buy a house at a reasonable price in The Villages. You could slowly over time renovate if it were your primary residence. I know there are many who are buying these at a low price and demolishing them and putting in a new house. Which is also an option. But if you are renting and have a down payment, why would you not buy this instead?

I know it might look like that but once you get finished with all of the monthly expenses, to keep a home, including utilities, taxes, insurance, and the cost to sell a home, it might not be as much profit as you think.

I really like the Ottowa plan. However, I'm old school on the kitchen island. I prefer the 2 levels with the bar height. The better to hide the contents of your sink or the drainboard next to the sink. This house is 18 miles closer to Disney World than mine. 53 minutes. That could be a feature to promote.
@prettygirlus90087 күн бұрын
I prefer the two-level bar height (#3 from the video) also. My kitchen re-modeler just told me that style is out of date, but can do whatever I want. 🤣

Beautiful home. Would be interested in what day/time you are filming ( ex. 7am on a Sunday, vs. 4pm on a Tues) , and to stay outside a bit (quietly) so we could just listen to the road noise (not a complaint, just a want) . Could hear more from the front than the back as it was, but that's usually what I'm trying to gather. And if any power lines. Great job with all of your videos. Happy New Year!

PS, this home is in pristine condition, not a ding anywhere (weekend use only, but still… these folks clearly care for their property). I’m wondering if you can do a future show regarding profitability in renting a home in the villages as a rental/Airbnb/other. It seems that there are a lot of rentals that aren’t getting filled now. Epic amount of MLS listings right now for TV homes for sale. Thank you again, and as always, I recommend this Channel to anyone who wants an accurate review of property in TV.

I'm a Sumter county Florida native. The villages has came in and messed up Sumter county. Nothing is the same. Was a small knit community at one time. People I've known for years have moved away just to get away from here. What the developers of the villages have caused is traffic, crime, high property taxes and the people are very nasty. Don't be fooled this place sucks.
