Hi and many thanks for this video, it was so interesting, I'm looking forward to watching the next ones! I have a small question : at 26:10 there is a 15mph speed limit board but you seem to actually be speeding up, how come?
@awesomecreationschannel

Thank you very much for comment, I hope you enjoy the rest of these episodes 😊 Good spot on the speed limit! Maybe it was the quality of the video, but just underneath the 15 is an arrow pointing right. That indicates the speed limit is 15mph when crossing the points into the South Bound platform 👍

@@awesomecreationschannel Many thanks for your comment! Ah yes I see it indeed! It makes sense, so you sometimes go directly to the southbound platform at Queen's Park? Do you warn the passengers in advance? Looking forward to watching the other episodes, many thanks for the great content!

Why are their gaps between the live raid and also the centre rail
@awesomecreationschannel
@awesomecreationschannel 24 күн бұрын
They could be for a couple of reasons. 1st, it might be the end of one traction current section and the start of another. 2nd, it might be at a points crossing.

So through running at Q Park takes you down that left hand "road"? How does the south bound train get through/past the workshops? Is there a similar road through over on your right?

would you rather drive the piccadilly or bakerloo line trains?
@awesomecreationschannel
@awesomecreationschannel 25 күн бұрын
They are pretty much the same, the Bakerloo line is the 72 stock and the Piccadilly is the 73 stock. Very little difference as far as I'm aware, but in all honesty, neither! 😅 They are very uncomfortable to drive!

Feedback duly noted. I was careful to position the text in a way not to obscure too much of the interesting elements but I wanted to keep it large enough for people with poor visibility to still be able to read. I have made an episode with minimal editing and no text for a more ASMR experience 👍

How different is the maps the drivers use compared to the ones the public reads every day
@awesomecreationschannel

Hi Mark, we don't use maps, we learn the different moves done on certain stations from detailed diagrams and the rest of the line we learn whilst driving and memorise it 👍

Thanks Mark, We stick to the one line we are on, there are a very small group of drivers called test train operators and they learn multiple lines.

Enjoyed riding along with you! Thanks for the cab ride video and commentary. In particular the details about signals and train operations. Greetings from Portland, Oregon, United States of America. I was born in Kingsbury, London NW9, grew up around there. Queensbury (Bakerloo line at the time) was our local station. Spent many a journey as a passenger on the old 1938 tube stock. The Stanmore to Baker Street, when operated as the Bakerloo Line, brings back great memories for me. Now it's called the Jubilee Line (it was to be the Fleet Line in the late 1970s. Plans change...) The new (to me at least) Bakerloo line through Kenton and Harrow is interesting. My travels there were typically by double-decker bus. Looking forward to more of your travels!

Thank you for your first class smoking hot versions of a genre I knew nothing about until your channel was suggested by You Tube's Fat Controller. I've just sat through a Piccadilly line one by another driver... What a difference your relaxed style makes. The occasional answers to questions I've had for forty plus years about lineside this and platform that. And the simple innovation of the torch-lit tunnels topping it off, of course. Brill. Thanks.

Where does the tunnel at the far end of Elephant and Castle go? I would think that as a terminating station that would just be a wall at the end and you’d switch train ends to reverse direction. And that part of the line at least to my knowledge is too deep-level for it to be some sort of maintenance depot. So I’m just curious what else it could be. Awesome video by the way! Thanks!

Having watched Part 1 of this series a while ago I am pleased that you have taken on board my request to add the station name to future videos, also the information on screen text is very good and informative rather than voice over. I like the way you cover all the main routes and off shoots including going through a train washing plant... Well Done ! Whilst watching this episode it occurred to me that it would be great if you could show at the start the section of the Tube Map that the episode is going to cover. Oh, and yes, yes, yes, more 'music overs' please, especially if it's going to be the same quality as your choice in this video... Already looking forward to Part 3 !!!

I think i know the answer to this question already, but since the bakerloo line shares track with national rail, does the 72 stock have GSMR,AWS,TPWS,DSD or is it not required? I am aware of the safety systems used on London underground

I only know what AWS is out of all of those 😂 And we don't have that in the sense that you mean. Because we have to push the handle down at all times to drive we don't need to be reminded to push anything periodically. Our Audible Warning System is an indicator for train defects.
