I have always thought this family is dysfunctional but I love them anyway. I believe that two mentally compromised gorillas should not have been mated together. As it is, we can see that Genki is trying but failing to give Kintaro his independence. Gentaro has social issues and is living in a situation that, in my opinion, limits his maturity as he is still under Momotaro’s rule. Momotaro has limited mating, fathering and social skills. Genki is just plain mentally compromised (putting it mildly). Kintaro my sweet sweet boy is lonely and spoiled rotten 😂😂😂

@@sowhat7472 you said it all so well. We are in the minority. All they do is fuss over Genki. She was born at Kyoto. I guess sent yo breed with a silverback. She rejected him. They tried another. Same outcome. Then being bullied by other females. That put the mail in Momo’s coffin. They didn’t know what else to do with her. He was so young. About 12 I think, if you go by Gentaro’s age. Inexperienced and had no father figure. His dad died when he was a baby. My hope is if he could be put with some young, experienced gorillas, he will develop into what he should be. What silverback allows his 12 yr old black back son to still be with the family.

@@theresapennetti3986 I have been hoping that they would at least try to find a second wife for him but I really don’t think they will because of Genki. Her mental state would more than likely deteriorate because I believe Momo would reject Genki. They don’t really believe in gorilla conservation because if they did, they would do what is best for the entire family not just one member.
