**Do not buy, many AA batteries will not fit in the candle**
TL/DR: The designers of this candle used a metal rim at the bottom of the candle that is approximately .56" wide. Because AA battery widths range from 0.53" to 0.57", you may find that your batteries cannot be inserted into the candle. I use a name brand rechargeable AA battery for everything in my house, and these batteries can not be inserted into the candle. Don't a chance that your batteries won't work with this device - find a different candle.
Pros:
o There are many reasons to like this candle, but the one big con item blocks them all.
Cons:
o Does not fit some AA batteries.
Surely when designing an electrical device you would take the time to confirm the specifications of your power source, and then design for even a bit of wiggle room. The Advtim battery operated candles have an inside diameter that is less than that of the maximum AA battery width, and so normal, brand name, off-the-shelf batteries do not fit inside them.
This is a bad mistake, and it can probably be fixed quite easily - adding, say, .04" and bringing the inside diameter up to .60" would completely solve this problem. But no, you cannot do this at home unfortunately.
Do not buy.
