I included in the new VA claims application for my VA claim, copies of my assignment orders and Army DA Form 2-1 (Personnel) green file and Sick-Call slips with Dr 's. notes in support of my claims, such as my complaints of low back, both shoulder and both knee pains, which connects my disability to my time with over 3 yrs. Light Infantry unit. Check in the mail within a week, then approval letter 2 weeks later.😊

From the times of most ancient warfare and eventually written in Latin is the phrase "nemo resideo" or “nobody left behind", .. Greek mythology offers portrayals of heroes who rescued the wounded and those captured by enemies. .. From ancient times comes the language of the Soldier’s Creed “I will never leave a fallen comrade”, and the Airman’s Creed, “I will never leave an Airman behind”. .. Veterans carry some form of this with them forever. .. Service to the Constitution is neither part-time nor a con. .. .. Semper Fi .. .. ...and, by the way, they labeled it PTSD. .. I was never advised and never knew this disability info connecting my hearing loss, tinnitus, and blood pressure. .. Thank you.

I recently ets'd the army. During the va brief, they gave us a paper that read "don't feed the sharks" and va claims academy was on the list. That's how I knew you were legit. I don't trust the army to be honest about how to get the help and compensation veterans deserve.

@@vaclaimsacademy Jordan, just so happens I've been working with one of those Shark Companies since July 2024. The company was referred to me by a childhood friend who achieved 100% P&T with them. I'm currently doing my C&P exams -- Overall General and PTSD exams completed last week; Audio is scheduled for next week. First: The company he referred to me, I believe, rushed the gathering of medical records, buddy statements, and nexus letters. I know this because I came across your videos back in November and I've learned so much. Second: THANK GOD I FOUND YOUR VIDEOS BEFORE I DID MY EXAMS! Knowing all about the specific language to use when talking with the Examiners and understanding ROM for Back and Cervical were lifesavers! I had great rapport with both Examiners; both of them were congenial, understanding, and non-combative. Just one more to go. If, by chance, I don't receive a high rating, I'll be calling you.

I am 30% rated for anxiety although they didn't rate my depression. The VA sent me to a certified counselor but not a psychologist. Can my counselor sign a nexus letter for me for my depression when I file?

That would be spinning your wheels. You get a single mental health ratings regardless of how many conditions you have. The path to getting a higher rating is to just increase your existing service connected anxiety rating.

I was in Coast guard back in '88. I had a cut nerve in foot and meps passed me anyway. I went to NJ for training in winter time. Then honorable discharge but enlisted in error, their error. JFC. I always thought I was els but I was wrong. Two years ago I began the VA process. I went to c&p for lower neuropathy and she added mortons neuroma and generalized anxiety disorder. And due to my ability was compromised I have secondary conditions I will supplemental claim. Am I on the right track?

VA does not listen to chiropractors very often. Although they are the best to get real help, you’ll need a referral to an orthopedic specialist to get a valid nexus. I’m going through this myself. Unfortunately this is probably not the news you wanted but just giving a heads up.

I am still on active duty, with about 11 months left. I am making medical appointments, mostly behavioral health, and have one about every two weeks. I am trying to make sure I can get as many things documented as possible. I am going to try and get a sleep study ordered through EBH, because our unit's primary care provider rarely orders them, especially if you have less than 12 months left (He knows what we're trying to do). Is there anything else you'd recommend for someone with less than 1 year active duty remaining?

I would start getting my personal statements and even buddy statements in order. Also, for any of the musculoskeletal conditions you might be filing, educate yourself on how you'll be rated according to your range of motion during your C&P exams. It's all in 38 CFR.

Yes, make sure you get a referral to mental health. Usually behavioural health does not actually diagnose your mental condition. Most important thing is to verify you are actually diagnosed with each condition you are dealing with before leaving active duty

Shouldn’t be all about the money… should be looking for the medical benefits you get with 100% because if you are truly disabled you will need the medical attention over the money. Just seems like you are praising the pay you get which is not right at all. The money isn’t everything yes it’s nice and most deserve it but you said nothing about medical benefits only pay… seems like you are teaching about unemployment not disability!

Exchanging your health for fiat currency printed out of thin air is never a winning trade. But if a vet is underrated and their motivation for getting increased is so they can make more money, there's nothing wrong with that at all.

The money is also important because it enables you to pay for things you can't get through medical like home renovations to make your home adaptable for you to be able to live safely. Medical only gives small grants which is minimal to make changes and you are not guaranteed to qualify for cause the funds are limited. Plus if you can't work you want to be able to pay your bills. Costs are going up constantly so it helps. He is giving the Info needed to get where a vet needs to be.
