Hi, thanks for the kind words. We us a commercial heatshrink printer that allows us to print labels in bulk. For small jobs an individual customer can find handheld/portable printers that use prepackaged heatshrink but they can be expensive and so can the heatshrink cartridges.

Impressive.. I have a question about the avionics master relay, if that single relay failed in IMC, I could imagine a complete black out of the panel. Is that ever a concern? And have you ever thought about some type of redundant way to provide avionics power with perhaps double relays so it’s not a single point of failure? Thanks.

Not really...the EFISes are not on the avionics master, they are on the main bus. Typically the only items on the avionics relay are the radio, txpr, intercom and GPS. The backup EFIS is completely independent (with it's own internal backup battery), and most of these folks have independent backup batteries or stby alternators (not through an avionics relay) feeding the "power 2" inputs of the various avionics. You do bring up a very good point though. For IFR/IMC operations, we feel it is important to have complete and independent redundancy to avoid single points of failure.
