They had some pretty hard hitters in the early seasons of American Idol. Archuleta is very talented and absolutely adorable, but I kinda feel like it would be hard to thrive in that industry as a Mormon.

The only reason he didn’t win was Because his dad was an ass, and had a run in with Simon, and I guess Simon heard him behind the scenes berating David harshly so Simon said he was a horrible stage parent..I guess Simon almost pulled David out of the contest over it, but he really likes fed David and knew how hard he worked, and how talented he genuinely was.. Sad..

Maybe you didn't know the context of David's rendition. When he was on "American Idol," the guest artist was Andrew Lloyd Webber. He chose this song and delivered this rendition of it. It was bold. Some liked it; others didn't. Lloyd Webber himself said, "We should all be saying bravo" for doing something to his song that had never been done -- turning it into a pop romantic ballad.

The picture of him here reflects his inner light on his perfectly handsome face. Where were people like him when I was 17? I would have loved to have a friend like David

i love the POTO version AND Archie's version. :) They are so different and are both gorgeous in their own way. I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but I love it when I don't think i could ever like another version of a song other than the original and then Boom!
