Hi Jimbo, thank you for your videos, they are very helpful. International here, trying to convert an overseas Full License to a NSW Full License. I have one question: I do not own my own car, nor can I buy one because, well... I can't drive with my overseas license, so should I then book/hire a care from a Driving School for my driving test? Regards from Kingswood!

This is going to sound stupid. But when you say "when you leave the bay signal five seconds".. You mean like when I exit the parking lot right? Someone told me I'm supposed to signal, before reversing out of my carpark... Which doesn't make sense to me...especially since I'll be reversing one direction then driving away in another... So yeah, do I need to signal before reversing from a car spot?
@thedrivingtestguynsw84244 жыл бұрын
Hi Gracefully Mess yes signal 5 seconds before leaving the parking spot. You should strickly signal when reversing out as well but from my experience you don't reverse out of the parking bay (spot) if you start reversed in and just drive out at the start. Also they didn't seem to mark it if you did reverse anyway. Also a test I presented the other day signaled about 2 seconds before pulling out of the bay absolutely short of the 5 seconds required. I was expecting a signal error in zone one but nothing. In my opinion there is a large discrepancy between examiners marking.
@gracefullmess4 жыл бұрын
@@thedrivingtestguynsw8424 but typically when reversing out of a carpark am I supposed to signal? If so then do I signal in the direction that I'm reversing or the way that I intend to drive once I have reversed (if that makes sense)
@thedrivingtestguynsw84244 жыл бұрын
Well as I said strictly yes for 5 seconds and it should be the right signal but that's ridiculous when backing the opposite way. So I personally don't. It's your choice. If you want to signal do it. And signal the way you are backing out. Your choice.
